30.12.1942|Blessed🇺🇦Priest Emilian Kowcz was arrested in Przemyślany for aiding, baptising & sheltering Jews. He was taken to the Gestapo prison at Łącki St. in Lviv from where he was deported to #Majdanek 8 months later. The parson of Majdanek perished in the camp in March 1944.

27 December 1927 | A Dutch Jewish boy, Meijer Koster, was born in Amsterdam.

In September 1942 he was deported to #Auschwitz. He did not survive.

A Polish man, Aleksander Kosmalski

He was a tram driver from Warsaw. He perished in the German #Auschwitz camp on 24 December 1941.
He was 42.

We are patrolling the South Sandwich Islands, carrying out scientific observations and hydrographic surveys. This is Southern Thule, discovered by Capt Cook in 1775. It was surrounded by large concentrations of glacial ice from the Weddell Sea which required some careful driving!

@RichardHRBenyon How many of the UK OTs are in the UK delegation. Does this reflect that UK OTs hold 80% of global UK biodiversity? Or are the OTs being marginalised?

13 December 1943 | A French Jewish boy, Leon Herbstman, was born in Vichy.

On 13 April 1944, he was deported from #Drancy to #Auschwitz in a group of 1,500 Jews.

On 16 April 1944, he was murdered in a gas chamber together with his mom Frida and father Henri.

@Allatsea4 So its about the fact it is the UK, rather than any negligible effect on coal production or use. You don't stop fossil fuel extraction and use by attacking supply, you do it by reducing demand. Because a demand will always be met. Think failed war on drugs as an analogy.

05.12.1942| Around 3,000 Jews were deported from Przemyślany (Peremyshliany) to the German Nazi extermination camp in #Bełżec. The transport included the Jews who had been herded in from Gliniany (Hlyniany) several days earlier. They were all murdered in the gas chambers.
