The negative character summary you gave of a female politician yesterday, Adam, didn't reflect who Ann Widdecombe was at all. It did however tell viewers who you were.

A spinster and an old maid are very derogatory terms and imply a sad and lonely figure.

Ann Widdecombe was a mentor to many up and coming politicians. She had a great social life and we found out today that she had regular sleep-overs and girls weekends with female European MP"s.

Ann did fun podcasts, strictly come dancing and celebrity big brother. Nothing 'old maid-ish' about any of those things.

Just like Betty Boothroyd, another single woman who worked in Westminster, Ann was an empowered woman who many admired.

Years ago Nigel Farage broke down describing how his children were relentlessly bullied for his political views.

Today journalists published pictures of his daughter’s home and hounded her.

This isn’t journalism. It’s deliberate doxxing designed to put a target on an innocent woman’s back.

Farage already receives constant death threats and violent attacks. That apparently isn’t enough for you. So now you’ve decided to drag his family into the firing line too.

What is your actual aim?
To intimidate? To punish his children for the crime of having the wrong father? To send a message to anyone considering supporting him that their families will be next?

Do you do this to any other politician’s children?
Do you publish the homes of Keir Starmer’s family? Rachel Reeves’? Any Labour MP’s kids? Of course you don’t. The double standard is not just obvious, it’s grotesque.

You are not holding power to account. You are abusing your platform to settle political scores and endanger private citizen’s. You are biased, cowardly bullies who hide behind “the public’s right to know” while trampling every standard of decency you claim to uphold.

Why do you think this behaviour is acceptable? Because you’ve convinced yourselves that anyone who threatens the establishment deserves to have their family terrorised? Because you believe your political hatred gives you a licence that no one else has?
