Happy #EarthDay! Today we are highlighting the Qualicum Beach Firehall which focused on energy efficient, low emission design. Completed in 2015, the building utilized several energy efficient strategies, and results in 72% energy reduction and net zero energy for the future.

15 years ago, two “sister” firehalls in Richmond, BC were completed.  Hamilton Firehall was one of the first LEED Silver NC certified firehalls and its twin Sea Island Firehall were built simultaneously.
