Good music is not defined by how popular it is. There are many beautiful songs that are not that known. And a lot of hit songs are trash.

We are too obsessed with “hit” that we don’t appreciate good music any longer.
I played some of the best dancehall songs by Shatta Wale, yet folks reduced the convo to “hits” and completely missed the point of the video.

I’m a DJ, my job is not just to play hit songs, but to also introduce good music (that are less known) to my listeners. And this is where I find my joy
