The Dodgers and Mets spent within $1M of each other over the last 5 years. $1.752B vs $1.751B
The Dodgers won 67 more games. That's more than 15 extra wins every season!
I came in skeptical of the competitive balance argument for the cap. This is part of why.
As a fellow Pirates fan, this is a retarded take. Do better John, owners are not accountable Nutting especially when they refuse to sign players or spend money on baseball operations year after year while ownership is always in significant profit regardless of attendance or team record. No incentive exists for the owners to compete because they will make money every year no matter what happens. A cap will not change this behavior.
@SleeperDodgers This is going to go down as one of the most confusing and worst value added contracts a team has ever signed, paying an extra 50M for an upgraded Conforto
This is going to go down as one of the most confusing and worst value added contracts a team has ever signed. The dodgers had Ryan Ward, Alex Call, Kike, and more that could have filled the needed outfield slot without going out and spending 60M a year. You can't fault them because they have the money, but every now and then even the dodgers are prone to a blunder that has everyone scratching their head. I think most people were skeptical of the signing given Kyle's career numbers... yeah this is still just a doozy paying an extra 50M for an upgraded Conforto
It will not go to lockout, Shohei singlehandedly revived viewership and interest in baseball, the owners understand this and won't risk losing the momentum baseball has gained, the players (the spectacle revenue generating players) hold all the leverage. Going to lockout will probably destroy baseball revenues and make it hard to recover for years
@Nutzypoo_ttv As a life long Pirates fan and after many years owners profited greatly without ever having to get good players or have a good product on the field, fuq em. Salary floor and no ceiling. Keep the luxury tax but require that when disbursed it has to be spent on payroll.
Spreading good $aura energy ❇️
As community member I wanted to do something meaningful, so I prepared a view food packages filled with essentials and brought them to a local homeless shelter.
I did this in the name of the whole $aura community ❇️
It’s a small gesture, but it carries big energy. $aura isn’t just a token, it’s a movement built on kindness, unity, and real impact. While others just tweet, we build real world value.
This is just the beginning. We are going to billions 🚀
