Even if AI can answer any question you have, we must keep on educating ourselves otherwise those who build the AI end up making our decisions for us by deciding which options we see
Shout out to Charle Rei, financial adviser at @OldMutualSA who went above and beyond to help me despite international calling difficulties. I finally feel relaxed and understand my options.
@OldMutualSA the online chat experience is horrible. It mostly resets and you have to start again. When I spoke to someone I thought they were an advisor, but they were just support and super keen to pass me on instead of really understanding what I need. Had to say I have more.
@Someoak1@MoneyMunicipal @TreasuryRSA I think automatically identifying suspicious procurement just from this data is very difficult. But once it's more convenient to interrogate the data, hopefully more eyes spend more time combing through it.
What do you think would be helpful?
A member of the public emails their municipal leadership photos of an overflowing skip with the subject "Clean up".
Few things give me more pride than seeing @MoneyMunicipal built by @TreasuryRSA and @OpenUpSA used this way.
@Someoak1@MoneyMunicipal @TreasuryRSA I think a good start is just being able to search across multiple quarters, multiple years. Perhaps filter by a particular supplier or department. To enable an investigation to focus without first having to do this basic data grind.
@Someoak1@MoneyMunicipal @TreasuryRSA We were doing work on showing when updates of each phase can be expected, actually done, but we didn't get to implementation before I left last year this time. Priorities might have shifted since then.
Best to mail [email protected] to hear from the horse's mouth :)
@Someoak1@MoneyMunicipal @TreasuryRSA that means for the selected amount type (audited actual by default), those years aren't available yet. If you change it to Original or Adjusted Budget, they'll become available.
Fed up of corruption in government contracts?
Learn how to track down the details and shine a light on the baddies. Let's make it way too much effort to steal from the state.

@TalkTalk why is your support chat agent asking for letters in my password and my emailed security code for authentication? Do you have my password in clear text? Are you creating a culture of sharing security codes?
