@SCweather_wx what do you make of this? Almost an inch of liquid precip for us in the midlands. With the ratios you’ve been talking about, am I wrong to think the NBM may be understating things?
@AdamBJones138@FoodNetwork@GuyFieri I am 100% with you. Im sure he’s a nice guy, but nothing added. Watch him on Tournament of Champions. “How’d it feel to get that win?” is about the extent of it
You’re making my point. Your comparison was correct, and my comparison was correct, all under this broad sweeping general statement. It makes the general statement worthless because it can mean a multitude of things. And trying to draw historical parallels based on that type of statement is both intellectually lazy and dishonest.
It’s sad that even the slightest challenge to the group think bubble (with absolutely NO endorsement of the side they oppose) prompts a lie. I don’t block people because I’m not scared of opinions or viewpoints others may have. I’m not that fragile.
You’re totally missing the point. Go back to my original criticism. It’s that the statement itself is so broad that it can encompass something from today, last month or 5 years ago. And that’s relevant because the point Doc was trying to make is that there’s historical parallels. He wants to go back 80 years and say, “see, it’s happening again”. Except that with this “astrology speak” as I call it, you can connect the dots to almost anything. You’ve connected a two dots that are recent. Great. Be specific. He couldn’t though because then his thesis falls apart. Because for every overly broad generalization that’s made to draw the parallel, you can make as many that reject the comparison. Government building occupied, opposing politicians conducting nationwide ‘tours’, the Judicial branch overruling executive decisions. Bottom line is that it’s a 3rd grade attempt to explain a PhD level situation.
Again, I’ve not blocked anyone.
And earlier, you proved my point. And earlier, you proved my point. The statement is so broad as to have multiple interpretations. You say it’s about Mexico and Canada. Possibly, but it also applies to neighbors reporting mask mandate or gathering restrictions during Covid. It’s the problem with statements that are so generalized. Hence, the intellectual laziness of it
@DocAtCDI This is so intellectually lazy it makes you look sophomoric. It’s “astrology speak”. Make anything broad enough and you can’t miss. Example? “Make enemies of neighbors” … Guess that applies to Biden and Covid? You’re better than this junk
@delta how the heck do you have aircraft operating at an airfield and not have a mechanic on duty? Stuck at CAE and have to wait 45 minutes for someone to even get here.
