Michael Gallup’s injury is another example of how dangerous field turf is for football players. Football should only be played on grass. That’s for every level. Players are more explosive now than they have ever been. These athletes need a surface that gives not grabs.

Finally got this tee on 13 seeded on nov 20. It will add about 40 yards to the 495 yard par 5. Put some starter fertilizer and a grow cover on it and we will see what happens. Hopefully we see grass in the spring. @WheelingCC

It boggles my mind that school districts can justify spending 1 million dollars on an artificial field, put students on the field in these conditions, and believe it’s the best decision. Invest 1/2 that million in 10 yrs on the natural field and it would be a great field.
