PLAYERS: Just because you work harder than someone else doesn't mean you'll win, get more playing time, be praised, get attention, or achieve your individual goals. But not working hard makes those things nearly impossible in the long run. Be consistent and don't give up.
PLAYERS: Everyone can be a good teammate when things are going well, you're getting your way, or things are easy. Great teammates are still able to make others better and be valuable when situations are challenging, frustrating, or hard. Being a great teammate is not situational.

Your job as a Head Coach is to get the program to it's ceiling. The ceiling is different at each place. This can be a very difficult concept for parents, players, coaches, and administration to understand. Work to get your program to it's individual ceiling.
@JohnnyBench_5 I was there JB. 13 years old. Mom got us tics way up in Red seats Did not want to miss it. The place shook when you went deep. Never forget it.

3 Thoughts about Leadership:

3 Truths About Leadership:
1. Leadership isn’t about gaining power. It’s about empowering others.
2. Great leaders succeed because they bring out the greatness in others.
3. You don’t have to be great to serve but you have to serve to be a great leader.
Friends have so much power in your life. Do you hang with people that bring out the best in you? That make you a better man/woman, husband/wife, dad/mom? As I get older this is non negotiable for me. Show me your friends and I’ll show you your future.
