@IslamicPackers Jesus wasn't giving lessons on botany, but theology. Read the context.
Likewise, Jesus wasn't telling people to actually pull logs out of their eyes. But rather, to not be a hypocrite and fix their lives first. There was a deeper meaning.
I had a pastor tell me a few weeks ago that religion has no place in politics.
I replied, “I realize you may not respect me or agree with me. No problem. Do you respect Charles Spurgeon?”
He responded, “Oh yes. I quote him in my sermons all the time!”
I sent him this Spurgeon quote for his next sermon:
“I often hear it said, ‘Do not bring religion into politics.’ This is precisely where it ought to be brought, and set there in the face of all men as on a candlestick.”
@MattWalshBlog I don't understand why we couldn't just have the Marine Corps band, and Air Force choir, etc., performing a few dozen inspiring and patriotic songs. Supplement it with some award-winning high school bands, etc. This isn't that complicated.
The bone tissue is neither too soft (would collapse) nor too hard (would shatter).
It's mathematically perfect.
Engineers tried to replicate it for 30 years to create better helmets.
They finally succeeded in 2011—by copying the exact molecular structure.
These verses all seem to say that, Michael.
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Romans 3:28.
For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.
Galatians 2:16
yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.
Galatians 3:11
Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.”
Romans 11:6
But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.
Acts 16:31
And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Romans 10:9
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Romans 4:5
And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,
Titus 3:5–7
he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
2 Timothy 1:9
who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began,
“Faith” alone has no power. Only faith in Jesus Christ who died and rose again, taking the punishment earned by our sin, offers hope for this life and in the next.
Only one religion is based on a single, testable, historical event. If you haven’t at least considered the evidence for the resurrection, NOW is the time.
Dear @chicagobulls,
I am a lifelong fanatical Bulls fan. Been to many games, bought your merch, and supported loyally through ups and downs.
Until today. My greatest loyalty is, as is Jaden's, to Jesus Christ and truth. And I am grateful to live in a nation that protects freedom of religion and freedom of speech.
Your violation of the first amendment--and, even more problematically, your ideologically selective while culturally amenable cancelling of a man who did nothing more than hold to his convictions--is a tragic capitulation to the spirit of the age.
I urge you to do the right thing and publicly apologize to Jaden, acknowledging the error of censoring a man for believing what Scripture says and what Jesus taught.
Respect, @JadensIV.

This Easter, I invite you to look at Jesus, consider what he said and did, and ask for yourself what I believe is the most important question you will ever answer: Did he really leave behind an empty tomb? And if he did, what does that mean for you?
This video was made possible and in collaboration with my friends at @ChildlikeMedia.
@KurvaBlyat71898@michaeljknowles@grok Passeges that speak about a gate don't convince me over specific direct Passeges that bring up the actual life of Mary like Matthew 13:55-56 (parallel in Mark 6:3).
@michaeljknowles Basically asking if you agree with the Bible where it says she isn't a perpetual virgin - like in Matthew 13:55-56 (parallel in Mark 6:3) or if you agree with what the cultural popular view on it is.
If your conscience isn’t pricked by the mockery of a widow - and you find yourself enjoying it, laughing, reveling in it - you are in the darkest possible place spiritually. You’ve been given over.
