@FernandezAndreC@MiamiHerald The safety net has been pulled, the backup parachute will be gone as of Sept. 25. Andre is the ultimate swingman. When there was a spot that needed attention as a writer, editor (and podcaster), he has been there. Whatever comes next a team is better with Andre on it.
@gregcote@MiamiHerald@TheGregCoteShow I can't even begin to say all the good things I want because of character limits, but it has been an honor and a joy to work with you more than 30 years. You have my utmost respect as a journalist and a person.
@kaufsports@MiamiHerald Fortunate enough to work side-by-side with her for 30 years and for everything you saw in print or online it doesn't tell the impact behind the scenes. She kept the love of what we do alive on days I didn't want to do this. I take solace that she guides the next generation
@JonHeyman@mcclatchy That being said I have great respect for what you do and it doesn't change your opinion one iota. I just want the Herald to own each sin you mention and not added ones.
@JonHeyman@mcclatchy Not true. None of the South Florida papers (Sun-Sentinel and Palm Beach Post) cover the marlins with a full-time beat reporter and the Herald is the only one that covers all the home games. What about D.C.? Still wish we could do more, but there is plenty to say on its merit.
