@GatorDave_GB I agree with “prove it on the field”…but the program feels different with Sumrall than Napier or Mullen. Results on the field will determine Sumrall’s success, but there’s no denying there’s a buzz about the Gators that has been lacking since 2012.
@_Senior_PATRIOT@DutchForce17 I think the main reason is that it was the first movie produced in color so they wanted them red for the screen. But I have seen references to red shoes as symbolism for evil things in today’s fashion industry
@DutchForce17 She wore her magical silver slippers along the yellow brick road which represented gold on the way to the emerald city which represented prosperity. Scarecrow represented farmers, tin man industrial workers, and cowardly lion was William Jennings Bryan.
@DutchForce17 The original book was a satire alluding to the economic climate of the late 1800’s. Farmers were pushing for silver to be recognized as part of the monetary system so more more would be available in circulation. In the book, Dorothy’s slippers were silver, not red.
While you are being gas lit by the Political Industrial Complex, all over social media and the news telling you what you are supposed to be outraged about, think about this.
Republicans funded the Refugee Program by nearly $6 billion of your tax payer dollars in the DHS appropriations bill even though you have been losing your mind about paying for refugee funding while you discovered all the Somalia fraud.
And the DHS appropriations bill funds all of Homeland Security including ICE.
Now you have watched a shooting video probably over 30 times trying to figure out what happened, while a near civil war is being fueled in MN.
But look past the hype and focus in on the granular details.
The DHS bill funds both ICE and Refugee Programs.
The DHS bill funds doubling H2B visas and deportations at the same time.
Do you see how the Uniparty in Washington funds both sides and then gas lights you and drives you to hate each other?
It is all manufactured to drive your outrage and that is how they make money.
When the American People stop being baited into fighting each other, the American People will defeat the Political Industrial Complex that divides us all and can work to truly put Americans First.
@CorryAKnowles Not a series but a fun watch…David Foster: Off the Record on Netflix. The dude discovered or worked with a ridiculous amount of talent - Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Michael Buble, Chicago and a bunch of others. The guy was a jerk but was a master at his craft.
The playoff is terrible. We know Ohio State, Indiana, and Georgia are the best teams this year. The Big 10 championship ruled out Ohio State. So the championship should be Georgia vs Indiana. Then make the rest of the bowl games fun again.
My favorite part about this BYU/Bama/Miami/ND debate is:
• Most Fox affiliates are advocating for BYU
• ESPN affiliates are advocating for Bama
• NBC affiliates are advocating for ND
And they all want you to think it’s about the best teams and not money.
It’s truly amazing that Jon Sumrall is superbly executing the head coaching duties at two schools, considering Billy Napier couldn’t even adequately execute head coaching duties at one school.
@GatorDave_SEC did anyone catch Sumrall’s comment about the state of Florida being a great place to recruit not just players but coaches too? That seemed like an intentional comment. Are there any coaching targets currently working in the state that we should be looking at for potential OC or DC?
The timing of Zach’s post right before the Egg Bowl seems odd. Also weird that we’ve heard nothing about UF’s moves except two leaks and both were about interest in Sumrall
The biggest question for me right now in all of this is how to decipher the silence from UF? All part of the plan for Kiffin or planning next move? It can be spun either way right now depending on where it comes from.
Ruffino made some accurate points but missed the broader picture. Yes, LSU’s position as the only major program in a fertile recruiting state means their floor is higher than UF’s. An average coach will have more success at LSU than at UF which is exactly what has occurred over the past 15 years. But I think Shelton’s point was that for a great coach, UF’s ceiling is higher due to its location in the most fertile recruiting state. Florida has produced significantly more NFL players than Louisiana. The sky is the limit for a great coach at UF, who can recruit well and leverage Florida’s talent pool. @hightopsport
1998 - $21 Trillion started to disappear from DOD and HUD, papered over by the policies that led to the financial crisis, with $24-trillion of bailouts in 2007-12, followed by QE, followed by injecting of $5 Trillion by Fed in 2020 to launch the Going Direct Reset - all while a great poisoning lowered life expectancy and skyrocketed disease and health care expenses and manufacturing was hollowed out. Debt up, productivity down, bank robbery out the back door. Welcome to teh Financial Coup d'Etat
If he loses this game, there will be some truth to the narrative.
Largely due to the sheer volume of talent on their roster, a bad, banged up Florida team under an interim coach is pushing Ole Miss’s best team since integration.
