@MattWalshShow On the subject of "California was once part of Mexico", not only did the US win the territory in the US-Mexico war but we also PAID Mexico $15 million (in 1848 dollars) for the territory gained. So California is ours by right of conquest AND right of purchase.

@Fernand46357857 My problem is with the people who write the rules with all the loopholes allowing the rich to "avoid paying taxes". Remember, they are following the letter of the law or at least the law as enforced. Complicated tax codes exist for the purpose of allowing evasion by the wealthy.

@StasOlenchenko Why is encouraging an end to fighting and killing a bad thing? Trump is simply being realistic. This is the best deal Ukraine has ever been able to realistically expect without full scale war between the US and Russia. Does the world want that full scale war?

@timkaine Ukraine being admitted to NATO has always been a dealbreaker from Russia's perspective. The US can't (financially) and shouldn't (ethically) keep enabling a war that has stagnated. Ultimately, normalizing relations with Russia is in everyone's best interest.

1. Ukraine loses a little contested territory but maintains national sovereignty.
2. The US sends troops to push Russia out.
3. US ends all involvement and leaves Ukraine and the EU to sort it out with the Russians themselves.
Which do you want?

Fact: Biden refused to send in US troops to win the war for Ukraine.

At this point Ukraine and Russia are doing a replay of WW1 Eastern Front; brutal, destructive stalemate. Either they need to end it, or we do.
