THIS DEVELOPER JUST KILLED THE VOICE CLONING INDUSTRY WITH ONE GITHUB REPO.
Claude can now speak in your own voice across 23 languages through a single MCP call.
Free. Local. Offline.
What used to cost $22 to $330/month with ElevenLabs is now open source under the MIT license.
Jamie Pine just dropped voicebox on GitHub, and it already has over 41k stars.
It clones any voice from just 10 seconds of audio, lets you choose from seven different TTS engines, and runs entirely on your own machine, so your voice and recordings never leave your computer.
Connect it to Claude Code, Cursor, Cline, or any MCP compatible agent with a single voicebox.speak call, and your AI can start replying in your cloned voice.
It also adds global voice dictation that works in any app with one hotkey and can generate speech in 23 languages, including Arabic, Japanese, and Polish.
One open source app now replaces both ElevenLabs and Wispr Flow.
If you’ve been waiting to give your AI agent a voice, this is it.

🛑 ALERT - WordPress sites are under active attack.
Attackers are exploiting the #wp2shell chain to gain unauthenticated RCE on vulnerable stock installations, with no plugins required. Public exploit code is now fueling mass scanning and web shell deployments.

we had a significant security incident during evaluation of our models. we are sharing what we have learned so far. thanks to @huggingface for the partnership on this.

@jamesbrooksco@thekitze Was having a similar problem but it was my husky pre push hooks really killing it every time something pushed the amount of linting and formatting going on across packages in a turbo repo was spiking cpu and bricking the box 😆
🏁 I animated the token 💰 spend race, from ~lifetime Vercel AI Gateway usage, which aggregates trillions of tokens from millions of developers a month.
Fascinating to see the fluctuations among the labs, Anthropic's dominance, and the rise of open weight AI.
I've been using obsidian since 2021, I have a lot of unlinked documents, probably needs a lot of cleanup but it gives Claude a lot of notes from back in the day. This is what my graph view looks like now.
I genuinely don't understand why everyone isn't using this yet
Andrej Karpathy, a co-founder of OpenAI, posted a simple idea that hit 16 million views: stop using AI to write code, use it to build a second brain.
You point Claude Code at a folder, drop in any source, an article, a transcript, a PDF, and Claude reads it, links it, and files it into a living wiki of everything you know. It compounds like interest, the more you feed it, the smarter it gets.
Here's the whole thing:
> Install Obsidian, create a vault, open it in Claude Code
> Paste Karpathy's wiki idea file and tell Claude to build it
> Claude makes three folders: raw for sources, wiki for its pages, a CLAUDE.md that runs it
> Drop any source into raw and say "ingest this"
> Ask questions across everything, forever
Five minutes to set up, and you never start from a blank chat again.

Imagine telling someone in 1999…
The year is 2026.
The President is Donald Trump in his second non consecutive term.
The richest man in the world is PayPal cofounder Elon Musk… but not because of fintech or Paypal. Because of rockets, electric cars, AI, satellites, brain chips and something called “Boring Company”.
Apple is worth trillions but its main business isn’t computers… its selling glass rectangles everyone stares at for 9 hours a day.
People don’t watch TV. They watch teenagers explain geopolitics, finance, and relationship advice in ~60 second videos.
The biggest taxi company owns no taxis.
The biggest hotel company owns no hotels.
The most powerful media companies are social networks where everyone argues with strangers for free.
Kids are making millions filming themselves playing video games.
AI Robots write emails, code, legal memos, songs, essays, and breakup texts.
The internet is mostly bots arguing with humans who are trying to prove they aren’t bots.
You can summon a car, groceries, a doctor, a date, a private jet, or a dog walker from your phone.
People pay real money for invisible currencies, digital monkeys, AI girlfriends and pictures that disappear after 24 hours.
The richest companies in the world don’t sell oil, steel, or cars. They sell attention, compute, data, and addiction.
And somehow, after all of that everyone is still using Excel.
@ClaudeDevs what happened to this? "Starting June 15, Max 20x plan subscribers can claim a $200 monthly credit for using the Claude Agent SDK and claude -p, including third-party tools built on the Agent SDK." I never saw any credit to be claimed
I did exactly this the other month reduced the cost of GCP cloud run and pub/sub and moved to a full cloudflare stack. Instead of always on infra I swapped to a cron triggered outbox worker that processed the pending events.
hate to break it to you but most of your projects don't need
vps + postgres or supabase + vercel
just throw everything on cloudflare workers + d1
$5/month until you hit 10k users
stop overengineering
