@ClickingSeason What you need is data on random stops but if random unethical stops are happening they won’t be recorded, nor will incidents of random ICE harassment

I appreciate that you want to understand the facts but when data is lacking we need to rely on qualitative and experiential data

@ClickingSeason Your initial question was ‘Is ICE stopping random poc to ask for IDs?’ Deportation data doesn’t answer that question well.

Most random stops won’t lead to arrest and many arrests won’t lead to deportation. This is a form of survivor bias.
