WRONG. Party Switch was propaganda to ensure that black Americans keep voting democrat

The truth is there has never been a bigger shift in party votes, by race, then there was between the 1932 and the 1936 presidential elections

In 1932, 77% of black Americans voted Republican - By 1936, 71% of black Americans voted Democrat
A 48% Shift in Party Vote by Race
… and since then, Democrats held the MAJORITY of Black Americans Vote

2nd LARGEST shift in party vote by race was in 1964, where 26% of black Americans switched from voting Republican to voting Democrat — resulting in 94% of black Americans voting Democrat in that election

What happened during these times⁉️
1933 — The New Deal under FDR
1964 — LBJ’s Great Society Programs ** Both were Democrats promise of “economic security”, with policies of government dependency **

When you look at Civil Rights legislation during this time, you’ll find that A HIGHER PERCENTAGE of Congressional Republicans voted for both the 1964 Civil Rights Act & the Voting Rights Act of 1965 (and that’s not mentioning the 13th, 14th, 15th, 19th Amendments - all passed by majority of Republicans)

House in favor: (R) 80% | (D) 63%

Senate in favor: (R) 81.2% | (D) 72.1%

Of the 21 Democrat Senators who VOTED AGAINST the 1964 Civil Rights Act, ONLY ONE DEMOCRAT, SWITCHED to the Republican Party

… AND of the 20 Democrat Senators who DID NOT “switch”, their Congressional seats REMAINED Democrat for over 25 years AFTER the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

While, yes there was a 21% decrease in Democrat white voters in the 1968 election, ONLY 6% of Democrat white voters shifted to vote Republican — the remaining 15% voted for George Wallace, the segregationist Democrat who ran as an independent that yr.

-DURING THE SAME 1968 ELECTION- the black American vote increased 9% toward Republican… shifting the Republican black vote from 6% in 1964 to 15% in 1968, for Nixon

HOWEVER, by the 1976 election of Jimmy Carter, the white vote for Republicans DECREASES by 16%, shifting back to Democrats

*IF* there was such a substantial “Party Switch” of Democrat Dixiecrats after 1964, THEN WHY did it take 30 years before Republicans held a majority of southern congressional seats?? — Actually, Prior to 1994, Republicans NEVER controlled more than 1/3rd of the Southern Congressional seats at any point after the 1932 election…the time period when black voters shifted to Democrat by 48%

Green card holders are resident aliens, not citizens. Under 8 USC 1227, they are deportable for endorsing terrorist activity, persuading others to endorse terrorist activity, or support for a terrorist organization. The US government recognizes Hamas as a foreign terrorist organization.

Many of the illegal acts committed at Columbia & Barnard meet the definition of a terrorist activity. Injuring school staff, vandalism, barricading inside buildings, and preventing students from attending classes are NOT examples of Free Speech. They have no Constitutional protections.

If members of Congress don't like the law, then change it. But don't lie about it in order to support someone who violated it just because you agree with his Antisemitic cause.

I got lots of misinformed comments from my last post. I presumed a basic familiarity with the history of the region. So back to basics:

1) There has never been a country called Palestine.

2) There was a land mass named Palestine whose contours were framed after World War I based upon negotiations among the U.K., France and Saudi Arabia.

3) “Palestine” had no recognized borders prior to the end of World War I. It was ruled over by the Ottoman Empire for some 400 years. Jews and Arabs both lived there — neither with sovereignty over the land.

4) The San Remo Declaration in 1920 — an outgrowth of the League of Nations formed at the end of the War — designated Palestine as a national homeland for the Jewish People. No other people holds such a designation.

5) Nonetheless, 72% of Palestine was peeled off by the British (as trustee of Mandatory Palestine) as a home for Palestinian Arabs. It initially was called Trans Jordan (being the land on the eastern side of the Jordan River) and later just Jordan. This became the home for Palestinian Arabs, although the Brits installed a Hashemite King.

6) The remaining 28% of Palestine was what was left as a homeland for the Palestinian Jews.

So, as I said earlier, Jordan is Arab Palestine and the homeland for most Palestinian Arabs. The Land of Israel — much smaller in size — is the homeland for Palestinian Jews.

Those now seeking a second Palestinian state within Israel are seeking destruction of the Jewish State. Nothing more or less.
