@emilynordmann My gut feeling is that citing the use of it similar to citing software packages used for stimulus presentation or data analysis would be good practice
If you didn’t manage to talk to me about 4-dot masking during the #ECVP2023 poster session, please reach out to me during the remainder of the conference or by text/mail
Polarity has an interesting (lack of an) effect

@Neuro_Skeptic The rocking line illusion (https://t.co/pNHXTaCyh3)
on circular trajectories
a favourite at the #ECVP2023 illusion night
[The line appears to rock more strongly when it is closer to fixation or when looking directly at it]

@emilynordmann Our current cohort of 1st year students were told in theory what is possible in R for such a big part of term, that when they finally "were allowed" to use R, they almost forgot to panic.
Wouldn’t recommend this as a strategy, though
@JanSkerswetat@adelina_m_h I find them visually pleasing, but I also like split violin plots. For big datasets both might be superior. Since I rarely have big data sets, I might give swarm plots a try, or split swarm plots
ramble over
@Redstag194 @RhysDavidsVoice@iamsimonyoung It baffles me how differently people must pronounce their Hs at the beginning of words. Half of the examples given for an before h, clearly would only need a, as the h is very audible, like in hotel
@prestonmike@roadcc Then they have to get back to:
My cousin’s friend of a friend saw a cyclist with no lights once, wearing non reflective clothes on a bright sunny day. They were barely visible. Cyclists should be wrapped in fairy lights at all time.
@AdrianoAguzzi@DrJimminy That’s true. However, doesn’t a desk rejection implie that no one read it far enough to actually say whether it’s good or bad, but just decided that it’s not a good fit?
@siminevazire Much better than shared blanket + separate bed
Joke aside, I am definitely pro separate blankets
Otherwise, there are nasty cold pockets, which apparently have names in French. At least according to an old show presented by ARTE
@HelloFresh maybe it’s not enough to reimburse me 2€ when vacuum packaged cheese is mouldy.
Maybe your customer service employee should not end our chat prematurely. Maybe someone should care about the production date of the cheese to see if there is a manufacturing issue
@LBC That you can see the huge tailbacks from space has nothing to with their extent, but only with the resolution of the satellite images
Yes, you can see the tailbacks, but you can also see the bench in my gran’s garden, but that wouldn’t make a sensationalist headline
@YodelOnline what’s “your parcel went missing from the drivers van” jargon for?
I have some ideas here
Also, thanks for not informing me about this before I tried to pick up my parcel from the delivery centre
