Yesterday half the supports for my ketamine molecular model were scattered across the build plate.

I let it ride.

It actually finished.

Clean support removal, surprisingly smooth spherical surfaces and only one ball really needs work.

The supports failed. The print didn't.

The ketamine molecular model looked GREAT in Bambu Studio.

The printer had other plans. 😂

Half the supports are now scattered across the build plate…

…but somehow the model is STILL printing.

We're letting it ride.

The ole P2S is back to its old tricks. Filament already loaded in the AMS, but starting a print triggered a feed error. Tried a cold pull—timeout.

It’s been running fine. I’ll dig in later and share what fixes it.

Multicolor 3D printing tip:

Getting color bleed?

CHECK YOUR PURGE SETTINGS.

Dark → light transitions may need more purge to completely clear the previous filament.

Too little = possible color contamination.
Too much = wasted filament.

TITLE: Bad First Layer? Check the Plate.

Blobs, holes, poor adhesion.

IPA helps, but sometimes the plate needs a full soap-and-water scrub.

That fixed this one. Clean reprint, smooth finish.

Fine Detail From a 0.4 mm Nozzle

A close-up look at a custom CVICU print on the H2C.

Those tiny black lines are coming from a standard 0.4 mm nozzle before the red fill goes in.

Fine-line definition is one of my favorite parts of watching the first layer come together.

Well…found the filament feeding problem.

My PTFE tube actually ruptured at the sharp bend entering the 4-in-1 adapter.

Now watch the Bambu AMS:

Feed filament → through the split → retract everything → try again.

Mystery solved. 😂

New PTFE + better routing coming.
