The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask no fue “Ocarina 2”.

And honestly a lot of footballs all time records will never be broken. Between health, length of careers and what is likely going to turn into guys staying in college longer from NIL instead of going into draft not a high pick lock it’s hard to see them getting broke
If Henry doesn’t break the all time rushing record we’ll likely never see the any of the all time passing rushing or receiving yards broken again in our lifetimes tbh no one’s sniffing Jerry’s Rec yds, or Tom’s passing yards. Henry’s the best chance RBs will have
Derrick Henry’s path to the NFL record isn’t as crazy as a lot of people seem to think.
The assumption is that Henry needs to average 1,300+ yards a season for the next 4 seasons for a chance to break the record, assuming he has 4 years left at best.
I think the most realistic path to the record isn’t to maintain insane rushing production at his age for 4 more seasons.
It’s the Frank Gore path.
Frank Gore played until he was 37. That would be 6 additional seasons for Henry. He would need to average 890 yards over 6 seasons to break the record.
Between the ages of 32-37, Frank Gore amassed 4,927 yards in 93 games. That’s good for 821 yards per season.
Henry would need to put up 70 yards more per season than Frank Gore did. Having an extra game per season than Gore did already makes that much more achievable.
The path I see for Henry is:
- 3 more productive seasons (1,000-1,300 yards)
- 3 seasons with reduced, but moderate production (600-800 yards)
Essentially, if he has 3 seasons where he averages 1,100 yards and 3 seasons where he averages 700 yards, he’s breaking the record.
