Been thinking about the tragic and evil shooting of Charlie Kirk. I didn't know him personally and never met him. But he was doing this country a great service counteracting the death cult brain washing that is going on in almost all public universities. Many today want to see the United States overthrown with sexual perversion, anarchy, drug abuse, and totalitarian control. Kirk opposed this and they killed him because of it. My deepest sympathy and condolences go to his wife, children, extended family, friends, and all who grieve his loss.

But let it be clear in all of our minds that Charlie Kirk, though physically dead, still lives! He is right now standing in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, blameless with great joy (Jude 24). As Jesus said to Martha who was grieving the death of her brother Lazarus in Jn. 11:25-26, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” And we must all respond as Martha did to Jesus in vs. 27, “Yes, Lord; I have believed that You are the Christ, the Son of God, even He who comes into the world.” All who know and love Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will see Charlie Kirk again along with the holy angels and saints of all the ages (Rev. 5:11-14).

Daniel 12:2-3 speaks of the resurrection of all who die saying, “Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt. “Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever." Charlie had insight into the gospel. He relentlessly lead many to righteousness. He now shines in heaven.

Jesus spoke of the resurrection in John 5:28-29 saying, “Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment." There is an eternal heaven and there is an eternal hell. Everyone in the world is headed for one of those two eternal destinies. Everyone will be resurrected, either to eternal life in heaven with Jesus Christ or eternal destruction in the lake of fire.

I appreciated Charlie Kirks bold public stance declaring Jesus as Lord and King and the need for everyone to repent of their sin and place their faith in Jesus Christ to save them from the wrath of God to come. If Charlie could speak to us from glory right now, he would tell us this world is passing away and all its lusts (1 Jn. 2:17). He would tell us to place our faith in Jesus Christ. The world needs to both hear the gospel and believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

It is interesting that in the sovereign plan of God, sometimes those who shine the brightest, die the soonest. So it was with Jesus, the perfect, sinless, Son of God. So it was with John the Baptist whom Jesus described as the greatest man ever born of woman (Mt. 11:11). Many have died young because they lived and proclaimed the truth. Read The New Foxes Book of Martyrs for many examples. Psalm 139:16 reads, "Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them." Our days are numbered and the clock is ticking for each of us.

Though most do not like to think about dying, the death rate is still holding at 100%. As the author of the book of Hebrews reminds us in Heb. 9:27, "And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment." We are all going to die. We don't know when we will die. We are all going to stand before the judge of heaven and earth, Jesus Christ. Luke writes in Acts 17:30-31, “Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.” We can either stand before Jesus Christ trusting in our good works and perish, or stand before Him trusting in His good works, and have everlasting life.

We must not place our faith in this world, in our country, our government, politics, science, or medical doctors. We must not trust in ourselves, our wisdom, money, strength, or good works either. We must place our faith in and trust in the prophesied Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ, the Son of David, who was born of a virgin (Isa. 7:14; Mt. 1:23), lived a sinless life (2 Cor. 5:17; Heb. 4:15), died on the cross for our sins (Isa. 53; Rom. 6:8-10; 1 Cor. 15:1-4), was buried (Mt. 27:57-61; Jn. 19:41-42), rose again from the dead on the third day (2 Cor. 5:14-15; 1 Thess. 4:14), and who is returning again in glory to strike down the nations who will not bow to His sovereign Lordship (Rev. 19:11-16).

We see much evil in the world, much injustice, lying, oppression, and murder, but the Righteous Judge is coming. As the Apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10, "For after all it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed—for our testimony to you was believed."

Jesus the King is returning to judge the living and the dead. Flee to Jesus Christ today to find forgiveness and justification before God, or meet Him as judge later. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He alone can rescue you from the wrath of God to come (1 Thess. 1:10). See you soon Charlie Kirk!

We must simply repent and do our first works (Revelation 2:5). We must return to first principles. We must go back to the old paths (Jeremiah 6:16). We must sit down humbly in the presence of God, look the whole subject in the face, and examine clearly what the Lord Jesus calls sin and what the Lord Jesus calls doing His will. We must then try to realize that it is very possible to live a careless, easy-going, half-worldly life, while at the same time maintaining evangelical principles and calling ourselves evangelical people!

That's simple. You shall not murder (Ex 20:13). Before you tell me taking of unborn life is not included in this prohibition, please read Exodus 21:22-24 and Lev 24:17. God applies the same penalty to the taking of life inside and outside the womb. Infact, the penalty for unintentionally taking the unborn life is more severe because if you unintentionally take the life of someone who is outside the womb God allowed the person to flee to a city of refuge (Num 35:9-13).

If God thinks this much of unborn life, how dare we set any lesser standards.
