I wholeheartedly welcome senior bureaucrat Mr KJS Cheema, IAS (retd.), to the Shiromani Akali Dal.
Hailing from Moonak, Mr. Cheema has an illustrious career, having served as Special Principal Secretary to former Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Ji Badal for 10 years, in addition to holding various key positions in Punjab government for another 7 years.
He also held important positions in the Centre and other states, including Secretary to then Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee for 5 years and Additional Chief Secretary to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for 4 years.
A retired Captain from the Indian Army, he brings a strong sense of discipline and service. I’m sure the @Akali_Dal_ will benefit from his vast repository of knowledge and immense field experience.
