@MikeWingerii It's the Christian version of postmodern literary analysis. Don't try to determine what the author intended. Instead, interpret the story purely through the lens of your personal experience.
@matthewdmarsden The only Americans I know that care about soccer are immigrants. Little kids play it, and parents are forced to watch it, but I don't think that counts.
@NJBeisner Seek, and ye shall find. I asked God to reveal Himself to me. Many people have done likewise and found God, but you have to earnestly seek, and you have to be willing to accept the truth when it/He is revealed.
@FlDollface72@naomirwolf I have three kids on the autism spectrum and I always removed them if they acted out in public. I sympathize with parents who are struggling, but we all have to make sacrifices when we choose to bring children into this world. You can't allow your kids to be a public nuisance.
@AdamCrigler I watched one episode of that show. Aside from completely destroying characters' backstories and ignoring the differences between the powers of the men and women, you're right. The casting was horrible. These people are so arrogant they think they're improving the story.
@furious4hope@MikeWingerii King Saul lied to Samuel and then tried to justify his disobedience. He meant it for "good". He was planning to make a sacrifice to God. We all know how that story ended. It is much better to call out sin and call your brother to repentance before he faces God's justice.
@BowTiedRanger I have 3 kids on the autism spectrum. My middle child will definitely be dependent for life. Does that make his life less valuable than that of a "normal" person? What if you have a "normal" child that becomes a murderer or a homeless drug addict, or Heaven forbid, a Democrat?
@ThomBradley8@LizzieMarbach You are simply wrong. God used Mary as a vessel. He is Mary's creator. Her DNA, which was used in part to create the human part of Jesus, was also created by God, and we know nothing that was created was created without Jesus. He, in essence, created His own body.
@askmomaitv@Homeschool_LLC All three of my kids are on the spectrum and did sometimes have massive tantrums, usually triggered by something sensory or, in the case of one of mine, opening a door for him. Still, we never tolerated hitting or hurting others, and we did have a reward/consequence system.
@matthewdmarsden Catholics never argue with one another and you always agree with your popes? Even the communist ones who think Muslims worship the same God as Christians?
@CBHeresy Young women in the comment section think it's so creepy that this guy had access to her phone number would be shocked to learn that there used to be a book where you could look up the numbers of complete strangers and call them. No wonder there are so many Incels. God help us!
@DLoesch@DefiyantlyFree For all I know, he could've bought it all from Walmart. Why people drop that kind of money on labels that only a small percentage of people recognize, I'll never understand. Even if I were rich, I wouldn't do it. Pure vanity drives the rich Left while envy drives the poor Left.
@farmingandJesus Anytime anyone claims they belong to the only true church or there is anything is necessary for salvation beyond placing your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, they have accepted a lie. Nowhere does the Bible claim all Christians must speak in tongues.
@UcheMaryOkoli@FabriziaLe69164 Yes. We can read when Christ says "Do this in remembrance of me" not "Ordain priests with special power to literally call down my body and then murmur magic incantations to put my literal flesh into a wafer, and then cause everyone to be enslaved to the RCC for life."
@AnthonyEsolen And having been an education major in the 1990s, I can tell you that the drumbeat for "learning how to learn" rather than learning specific knowledge has been going on for decades and has only gotten stronger. The people who vilifiy memorization and mastery think they're right.
@tracybeanz Honestly, I think we should separate sports programs from schools altogether. Make them community based and group by age, not grade. That way, you can have homeschool kids participate without jumping through unnecessary hoops, and schools can devote their resources to academics.
