@BarryRoland19 I used to work a warehouse stocking job that had me walking the entire day. 10 hour shift with a total of 40 mins for break and lunch.
I was racking close to 30k steps a day for a while.
@SaffronOlive Back when he played magic Jeff Hoogland was actually in favor of a 1 year standard. This is an idea I'd like to experiment with honestly to see how it would play out.
@KitoriJP Rebirth Worlds had a similar format, where you alternated which deck you played each round or something like that. I'll have to get the details from a buddy of mine.
@SaffronOlive The argument that Jim and Corey are making is justified. Standard has a bunch of cards in it. Players should be looking to see if they can beat the best decks in the format before they complain and ask for bans. If after 9+ weeks it's still dominant we can start ban talk.
@asdasdf293@SaffronOlive The real issue is standard decks costing hundreds of dollars. Standard is "supposed" to be the new player entry level format. But if I gotta drop $250 to $500 for a competitive deck and then it gets banned you bet your ass I'm out. But if I spent $50 then I'll just buy a new deck
I think Leffen should be banned for being a terrible person most of his life (and receiving miminal punishment for it). People profit off of him so they don't do it, I believe his intentions are almost never good, I've seen+experienced it for a VERY long time now, it's not right.
@LSXYZ9 Unstable lands are amongst my favorites, but magic has had such an influx of new players most of them don't even know what the unstable lands are. And oldheads usually consider the Guru lands to be the god tier lands.
@wootini@empyriangaming The leagues that I took the time to learn how to craft something specific because what I wanted didnt exist on the market are the leagues I've had the most fun in. Not saying its for everyone, but its something some people enjoy.
GTA San Andreas is 20 years old and it is still more detailed than games releasing TODAY. It's still insane what Rockstar managed to pull off on the PS2 hardware.
Here are 10 insane small & hidden details from San Andreas that prove it was ahead of its time. A Thread 🧵
@MamaMagicGwen I have 3 LGS' in the city I live in that I visit. The 2 physically (and in number of people showing up) bigger stores are free. One usually has about 70 people for commander night and the other has about 40 for commander night. The last wants you to spend $5 and holds only 12.
@SaffronOlive I think WotC is pretty decent at managing community centric formats. Legacy is "usually" in a good spot. When its not, they typically take care of the problem cards. Maybe not as timely as some would hope, but considering the nature of the format, taking longer is healthier.
