How in the world can this government actually defend this decision? Schools need *more* SNA’s, not less.
SNA’s are an absolute essential crutch for so many children in this country-my own included. Without SNA support, my daughter wouldn’t be able to attend school and I am sure that goes for many neurodivergent children or children with extra educational support/care needs.
Every day lately it seems that this government is choosing to do more and more to harm the disabled community in this country.
This may seem small in the grander scheme of things but the campaign to stop the corporate enclosure of seaweed along the West coast has been going on for years. There is so much potential to harvest and use seaweed for local jobs and development.

Great to launch the Affordable Ireland Campaign today.
Join the National Protest on Saturday February 28th in Dublin with a first focus on an Emergency Winter Payment and a cost of disability payment.
We need an #AffordableIreland not #RipOffRepublic
The US campaign to starve Cuba of fuel should be understood as genocidal. They are targeting a whole nation, deliberately destroying conditions necessary for life, in flagrant violation of international law. Pure barbarism, there is no other way to describe it.
In 6 weeks, Minister O'Brien has fast-tracked LNG, lifted the moratorium on data centres and the Dublin Airport passenger cap. All under the banner of 'strategic infrastructure'.
Irresponsible moves that lock us into climate havoc and US dependency.

The cost of living crisis is now.
It's why the Affordable Ireland Campaign launching tomorrow is so important.
Unless we mobilise to force change, ordinary people are going to get poorer and poorer, while the big corporations profiteer.

How the f*ck have we allowed evictions to reach a similar level to the 1850s
So 100 years after independence we are back in worst period of our colonial history, when record numbers had to flee Ireland
Have no mistake this is down to successive government policy
Enough is enough
Why won't the government answer a simple question?
It's yes or no? Is there a criminal investigation into X itself?
Government is more concerned about being viewed favourably by Big Tech than protecting the public.
Shut down these harmful tools producing horrific content.
"We need to abolish the triple lock so we can exercise our sovereignty overseas" say the very same people who adamantly oppose exercising our sovereignty in the most basic way over the US war base on our own country's soil.
Dockworkers across 21 major ports in Europe and the Mediterranean shut down operations in a coordinated day of action. Under the call “Port Workers Do Not Work for War,”
They blocked arms shipments and demanded a full trade and arms embargo on Israel.
Trayvon Martin should be turning 31 today. He should be surrounded by friends and loved ones celebrating him.
He and his family were robbed of that because a grown man stalked him and killed him.
Without accountability.
"It's an uphill battle constantly, trying to get them to even recognise basic rights," she said.

Jordan Devlin – and five Palestine Action co-defendants – acquitted of charges related to a raid on an Elbit Systems factory
Regardless of what you think of the Triple Lock, the Government's efforts to remove it without putting it to a referendum is anti-democratic and flies in the face of any claims about 'reclaiming sovereignty' over foreign policy.
Just to add as well, this is before you even factor in that it is *still* a means tested payment.
Means testing for disability (and carers) is so unjust. This means that if your partner works, you may be entitled for zero money in your own right. This system just assumes that you live in a happy and supportive home which unfortunately isn’t always the case.
TODAY: Tens of thousands in Tucscon, AZ joined the nationwide shut down to demand ICE out of Arizona. Organizers say this is the largest protest in recent memory.
TODAY: Over 100,000 people in San Francisco took the streets against ICE today as part of the nationwide shutdown, flooding Mission Dolores Park in the Mission District, a historic Latino neighborhood.
Over 100 businesses in the Bay Area shut down for the day, and the shutdown was called by union leaders, students, and faith leaders.
Two years ago today, Hind Rajab was killed by Israeli forces. She was five years old.
On 29th January 2024, Hind and her relatives were fired on by an Israeli tank when trying to flee to safety. Everyone in the vehicle was killed by the initial attack except Hind and her 15-year-old cousin, Layan.
Layan called the Palestinian Red Crescent but was killed shortly after, leaving Hind on the line.
The two medics who were dispatched, Youssef Zeino and Ahmed al-Madhoun, in a vehicle marked as a Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance to rescue her, were also targeted by Israeli tank fire as they approached. They were both killed.
The recording of Hind’s call to the Red Crescent spread across the world.
Hind is one of the at least 20,179 children who have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza since October 2023 - according to the latest reports from the United Nations. The real figure is likely much higher.
Justice for Hind Rajab requires not only her killers to be brought to justice. The architects of the genocide in Gaza must be held accountable too. Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant must face trial at the International Criminal Court for war crimes and crimes against humanity.
As the Government pushes through legislation to abolish the Triple Lock, widely supported by legacy media, sharing this article written with Rory Rowan back in September.
