@BelindaJones68 Nice idea, but; My local polling place has 3 street entrances, so it's going to be an exception to "2 corflutes per candidate" and already the signage gets tampered with by passionate voters because there aren't enough gauntleteers to keep an eye on proceedings
@aussiewongm Be aware that there are Council, State, Federal and UNESCO World heritage laws. but confusingly the council usually administers them all based on a street address which is hilarious when it's a heritage listed street
@simonhackett I for one, am happy that there is still at least one major web site that is forcing browser unit tests to keep including HTTP/80, so that my iPhone will still be useful if a transporter accident takes me back to 2007
@brianwhelton Its predecessor the Catalyst 5500 was somehow more indestructible even when being abused with hot insert and replacement, but a software flaw meant the uptime counter didn't go past 999 days.
I see in the news fibre assets acquired in 2004 are being liberated from from a major telco, but before getting too excited maybe speak to a splicer about what happens to 20 year old fibre when you pull a joint out of a pit to re-splice it.
@ServiceSAOnline have decommissioned their "enotice" service for emailing when rego is due
When our work vehicle admin was outsourced to Manila by management in Sydney, the eNotice service was the only thing that stopped SA workers from being fined when the rego wasn't renewed
Is it just me or should a Government entity handling identification know better than to jam all of your non-surnames into the "First Name" field of an email marketing app
@marquelawyers A smart opposition could spin this into a "Bell Telephone Company" style antitrust breakup that would bring back competition in Australian telecommunications
Every time someone says that the NBN makes broadband faster and more affordable I am reminded that I built an ADSL2+ network that sold a 24mbps connection for $24.95/month in 2005 and now the cheapest 25mbps NBN plan is $49
When an experienced sysadmin tells you to buy 42RU racks instead of 45RU, even though they're the same price, listen to them because the tall ones don't fit in the elevator and solving that problem is going to become make the ensuing story even more memorable
@TobyWalsh If AI Datacentres were serious about their renewable energy credentials at least one of them would be setting up in Australia where the infrastructure best supports it - ie: SA and ACT, or perhaps somewhere near Snowy Hydro or Hydro Tasmania
@joshgnosis I feel like the takeaway from this article is that if you see someone in a Virgin uniform in your hotel then you should probably check out and stay somewhere else
Dear @Aussie_BB, you should probably make it clearer that your mobile products DO NOT support International roaming at all. This makes it very difficult to use 2FA while overseas .. let me know if you need a hand implementing it, as I have done this once or twice before :)
This is new to me - two carriers adding 5G NR3500 to a site has increased RF emissions to the point where nearby light poles need hazard warnings on them
@evcricket The Blue mountains council spends $2.5M annually on swimming pool maintenance, just like every other council who got suckered into a capital funded white elephant after the 1956 olympics, this will not be seen as a big deal - probably will be seen as an economic stimulus activity
