International Society for Krishna Consciousness or ISKCON; a Hindu Vaishnavite order is under 'concerted' attack in Bangladesh.

ISKCON is an internationally reputable religious organisation with presence in over 76 countries, spearhead the Hare Krishna Movement & following the principles of Sanatana Dharma, with the aim to acquaint all the people of the world with universal principles of self-realization and God consciousness, so that the highest benefit of spiritual understanding, unity and peace is achieved.
Other than organising the Ratha Yatra of Lord Jagannath, distributing the Holy Bhagavad Gita, they do various other social activities to help people in distress especially during natural calamities and other times of crisis, including in Bangladesh.

Now they are facing the wrath of a section of radicals in Bangladesh just because their Monks and Brahmacharis are being vocal about the persecution of the Minority Hindu Community and they are trying to help these helpless people.

This video was recorded this morning around 11 am, when a procession of radicals were going from Teri Bazar to Cheragi in Chattogram with the motive of instigating communal tensions. Listen to the slogans they were raising:-

ইস্কনের ঠিকানা জ্বালিয়ে দাও পুড়িয়ে দাও,
ইস্কনের ঠিকানা ভেঙে দাও গুড়িয়ে দাও..."

Raze down ISKCON, demolish ISKCON's addresses..."

I am personally a devotee of the Hare Krishna Movement just like millions of people around the world.
If he radicals plan to go ahead with the sinister plan of attacking ISKCON, they won't be able to handle the consequences.

HINDUS UNDER ATTACK IN BANGLADESH

A ‘Joint Task Force’ comprising Army and BGB soldiers carrying lethal arms, along with Police in full riot gear & armed with rifles, swarmed Hazari Gali and other Hindu areas of Chattogram soon after dusk on 5th November, 2024 and launched an indiscriminate crackdown on the Hindus.

The interim government in Bangladesh, which have quite often deceptively asserted that the news regarding persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh are majorly exaggerated, had been left red faced by the show of strength of the Sanatani Community in a rally at Chattogram last month, which left Mohammad Yunus embarrassed and dented his image in the Western World.
The attack on Hindus at Chattogram on 5th November and since then had been ordered by Mohammad Yunus in order to teach Hindus a lesson, which is being perceived as a retributive move by his administration.

The Joint Task Force broke CCTV cameras to prevent any kind of recording before they looted valuable items such as gold jewelry from Hindu-owned shops and homes, and vandalised Hindu owned properties.
More than 200 Hindu men were arrested and there are also apprehensions that some of them may have been shot dead.

The atrocities against Bangladeshi Hindus are crossing the limits of tolerance. It seems the new Administration wants to emulate the Nazi regime. It is high time that the Hindus across the world should unite against such barbaric regime, who are violating human rights of the minority Hindu Community everyday.
We as concerned neighbors would certainly raise our voices for our Sisters and Brothers of Bangladesh.

I would like to urge Hon'ble External Affairs Minister; Shri @DrSJaishankar Ji to kindly take note of the incident and request him to take appropriate steps which may bring some respite to the persecuted Hindu Community of Bangladesh.
