Evil Dead Rise was good times. Loved the dilapidated tenement setting, the practical effects ("real" fake blood, hooray), and Alyssa Sutherland's performance as a Deadite. The vibe gave me Demons 2 meets Poltergeist III tingles. A worthy installment that stands on its own.
Transmission from Camp Jesus: to anyone who gives a shit, I am still alive. Two more weeks and I can venture outside the property and hopefully do my taxes in order to try to make some things right. Until then, it's homework and rereading Mark Waid's Flash run. Smell ya later.
Mark Gruenwald has been posthumously inducted into the Eisner Hall of Fame. Well deserved. I grew up on his Captain America run. He was a Marvel Encylopedia and the basis for Mobius from the Loki show.

The Batman was very good. Ol' Batsy does actual detective work in a movie adapted from a character who made his debut in a comic book called Detective. What a time to be alive. Great performances by all involved in a Gotham straight out of 70s sinema.
:: singing this to myself in the style of a 90s r&b heartbreak ballad :: "I CAN'T CUM FOR A WEEK BECAUSE OF THIS STUPID CATHETER AND IT REALLY FUCKING SUUUUCKS! A-WOO-WOO-WOOOOO, BAAY-BEE!!!
Well, got me and my brother tickets to see The Batman in IMAX next week. Yeah yeah it's well-tread ground, but damn it looks really well done. I have a lot of faith in Matt Reeves.
When you're almost 41 year of age but you still don't know what "getting your shit together" means as it applies to you so you just try your best to survive and enjoy the things you enjoy until death happens.
Do the showrunners and other creative forces behind The Book of Boba Fett know what they are doing or is this just like Mandalorian and they are just throwing shit together to see what takes?
Unpopular opinion I know, but I think Eternals is a pretty decent movie. It's certainly more interesting than the usual Marvel method. It is long, often ponderous, but a lot funnier and fun than I was led to believe by the vox populi.
