@WitheringDookie @SalamiTaylor Not sure you could say his career was dead before Knives Out considering he literally went straight into making it on the heels of the biggest movie of his career. Like he could only make Knives Out BECAUSE of the success of his previous movie.
@LauraBeckerReal Finally, the flip from being trans to turning yourself into a poster child for de-trans tells everyone all they need to know about either decision: they were made without earnest in an attempt to feel acceptance. You were a gender identity hipster, now you’re a paper-thin martyr.
@LauraBeckerReal Further, the notion that you have decided that because YOU made the WRONG choice for YOURSELF, it’s acceptable to punish others by preventing THEM from making the RIGHT choice for THEMSELVES is unbelievably self-important.
@WarpBikerCrash@FouresArmy@wd_black@Xbox Also it’s an entirely optional upgrade that has a significantly cheaper alternative with minimal caveats. You can get 3-6 TBs of USB 3.0 storage for the same price and move Series X|S games between internal and external as needed. These cards won’t get cheap enough to compete.
@WarpBikerCrash@FouresArmy@wd_black@Xbox MicroSD got cheap because it’s a widely adopted standard that tons of devices utilize, so the market had plenty of room for competition. The Xbox Expansion card works on two devices and is made by only two manufacturers. Niche market + no competition = price stagnation.
@00Core00@BasicAppleGuy Because it’s not just a monitor taking up a TB port if you use an inexpensive hub that also gives you USB-A and Ethernet AND a monitor…and then you have two more TB ports on the back and two USB-C on the front.
@00Core00@BasicAppleGuy That’s why I buy Pro machines and a Thunderbolt hub and not the Mac Mini. Again, think of it from the target demo perspective, it’s not designed for people thinking about high speed TB allocation. BUT the versatility of back ports still allows considerable expansion via hub.
@00Core00@BasicAppleGuy The target demo for the Mini has always been entry level users. Willing to bet anyone who buys an M4 Mini to use multiple monitors will also have other peripherals they’d like to connect and will end up using a hub anyway.
@00Core00@BasicAppleGuy Why? It has three TB ports that are even more capable for connecting to displays than HDMI.
The vast majority of desktop users only have one display, and the M4 Mini has ample options on the back for enthusiasts with more monitors.
@InspiredMix @BasicAppleGuy It has USB; USB-C.
Lack of USB-A in 2024 is a non-issue for the majority of users, especially a desktop device like the Mini where 99% of them are going to sit in one place for the vast majority of their use, so plugging in a hub with USB-A ports is an easy solution.
@W00fer@lonseidman Even ignoring QA and shit like that, it’s not a myth that cable speeds and power ratings are measurable and higher speed and/or power requires greater shielding. Like, it doesn’t “just work” because you don’t know anything about it.
https://t.co/xvsn2apjbT
@W00fer@lonseidman And now, if you would, provide proof of your claims that there is no difference in speed and power performance from one cable to the next? Here’s a video for you:
https://t.co/p1S2WgWR3U
@W00fer@lonseidman The wild variety of power and/or data delivery and uncontrolled standards are why USB-C is a way bigger mess than HDMI. Not all cables are shielded and rated for the same performance. If you think high bandwidth cables are “just wires” you should recuse yourself from this topic.
@W00fer@lonseidman You might as well say you don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about because every statement you make just proves that fact to anyone who does.
@W00fer@lonseidman Largely new HDMI versions would replace the previous for modern hardware that required it, USB-C has dozens of speed ratings, power ratings, and resolution capabilities that are all concurrently available and intermittently interchangeable. Then there’s Thunderbolt!
@W00fer@lonseidman You not understanding it doesn’t make it snake oil. The primary measurable value from one HDMI spec to another is resolution, USB-C also needs to be measured in data transfer rate and power delivery and the cables are all over the place. HDMI was managed better, USB-C is a mess.
@SantanaLoi10965@871doggyworld@don_32or6 @exavierpope And of course you know the opportunity for the SC to be stacked with right wing fuckwads by Trump could've been partially mitigated if not for the RBG not stepping down in her goddamn 80s to give Obama the chance to replace her. Dems fail because they play fair with fascists.
