I still cannot believe that the law has still not changed and now we are seeing a pattern of these animals having the ‘choice’ to come to court or not.
THEY MUST ATTEND!
This is not rocket science, it’s time for the law to change! 🌻

'I wanted him to hear my victim impact statement on how he tore my family apart.'
Jebina's sister Sabina Nessa was murdered in 2021. The man responsible for her death chose not to attend his sentencing. She reflects on the profound impact that the killer's refusal to face justice in court has had on her family, and the lasting emotional toll it continues to inflict.
Thank you to @LDNVictimsComm & everyone who have supported us through this campaign, been a crazy journey to get to where we are now & this wouldn’t of happened without everyone’s support & guidance.Ripple effect of these animals not turning up to court has now ended #sabinanessa
Delighted to see much of our work with victims reflected in the Victims & Courts Bill.
Parents convicted of serious child sex offences will soon have their parental rights suspended, & thanks to the families of Sabina, Zara & Jan, offenders will be compelled to attend sentencing

We need to make sure victims family are at the forefront of everything as it feels like the defendants are put first.Defendants committed the crime should listen to what they have done & how it’s impacted on the victim’s family’s.We need change in the system we need Sabinas Law🌻
Dominic Raab has promised to change the law so that convicted killers must face their victims' families in court.
'It's more words he's saying than action.'
Jebina Islam, the sister of the murdered schoolteacher Sabina Nessa, wants @DominicRaab to put his words into action.
Thank you @bbc5live and @TVNaga01 for having me. It’s really important we all come together and put pressure on the @GOVUK & @DominicRaab to change the law & defendants face up to their crimes🌻 #SabinasLaw
28-year-old Sabina Nessa was murdered in 2021.
Her killer was convicted but refused to leave his cell to hear his sentencing.

Excl: Calling for an urgent change in the law, Jebina Islam, the sister of murdered Sabina Nessa, told us how killer Koci Selamaj’s refusal to attend his sentence hearing rocked her family @Jebina19@DominicRaab

@DominicRaab your words are good but we need your words to become true and be put into action ASAP!!! Let’s all unite together and put pressure on the government to act and make the change NOW !!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! #SabinasLaw#EnoughIsEnough#timeforchange 🌻♥️
You say this @DominicRaab but when will you ever put this into action. Actions speak louder than words!!! How many more families will go through this !!! #SabinaNessa#SabinasLaw#timforchange 🌻
Spineless criminals like Cashman who hide from their sentencing prolong the suffering of victims and their families.
As I have already made clear, I plan to change the law to compel offenders to face up to their actions, so victims can see the justice they deserve being served.
It’s about time predators are made to come to court. It’s not an option for them since they have committed such horrendous crime. Why are they still allowed to have such freedom. Bring into place #SabinasLaw. Miss you sis 😢

Following the sentencing of #Sabina last year
“Lord Ken MacDonald said 'urgent' change was needed to stop killers from 'insulting' families by not attending court to face their sentencing.” ~ @MailOnline

Once again the justice system has failed an innocent woman & her family.I’m angry that he didn’t attend court, only cowards do this & utter crap that he ‘doesn’t want to relive’ it.Sabina’s law needs to happen for cowards like him to face up to his crime.😡https://t.co/oxa87GgYoV
How many more innocent women have to be killed in a hands of a predator for the @_Government_UK to take action. It must STOP NOW!!! No family should go through what we went through, what Zara’s family went through or anyone else’s family.🌻. #sabinaslaw#EnoughIsEnough
Thank you sis founder of @amourdestine for allowing me to be part of this amazing campaign. Your work and support is truly amazing. Let’s all unite together and stand tall liek a sunflower and put a stop to #ViolenceAgainstWomen 🌻
25th November marks the 1st day out of the 16 days of activism against gender based violence. 16 days is not enough to highlight the scary statistic of violence against women. It’s time to get rid of this & take a stand & say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.#sabinanessa#EndViolenceAgainstWomen
