A Scottish fan chanted, "Free Palestine."
"I was a nurse in Gaza. I volunteered in Gaza. I’ve seen what happens. There is a genocide. Free Palestine."
She's a hero.
There is no room for a mistake in this airport
This is Lukla Airport, Nepal where every landing feels like a final exam for even the most skilled pilots. Nestled between mountains at an elevation of over 9,000 feet, with a short runway and extreme terrain, this airport is the main gateway for tourists visiting Mount Everest.

A student pilot experiences his first fully developed spin during emergency maneuver training with an aerobatic instructor. Having only practiced incipient spins before, he entered the spin at 6,700 ft, started recovery at 4,500 feet using the Beggs-Mueller method, and leveled out safely at 3,200 ft.

I used to think Eid al-Adha was simply about sacrifice.
About Ibrahim.
About Ismail.
About qurban.
But the older I get, the more I realize it was never only about that.
Then one day I came across a line that stayed with me ever since:
A girl in Vietnam entered a clothing store but kept missing the saleswoman because they moved at the exact same moments. After about a minute, they finally bumped into each other in a funny “glitch” moment 😂
Did you ever wonder… why it’s called Surah Al-Baqarah —The Cow?
This is the longest chapter of the Qur’an that contains law, justice, fasting, economy, identity…
WHY A COW?
📍🟡 “Most people don’t visit zoos or aquariums with the intention of funding animal abuse. But the zoo industry has deliberately misled the public by rebranding itself as necessary for ‘conservation’. They tell us their work protects animals who are endangered in the wild – but this couldn’t be further from the truth.” – Animal Aid
📌 "A legitimate sanctuary does not breed animals or use them for profit, and only takes animals that cannot be returned to the wild. They are either closed to the public or highly regulate access to their facility. It is based around the animals' needs, rather than attempting to balance the needs of the animals with those of human visitors." – Born Free
📌 “Animals have evolved over millennia to adapt to their natural habitat. Life in captivity differs substantially from life in the wild. Space, social interactions, diet, climate, human presence and many more aspects are completely different to what they would encounter in the wild. Rather than living safe and easy lives in captivity, animals may face challenges which evolution has not prepared them for. This can result in ‘zoochosis’." – Born Free
📌 The issue of zoo animal welfare recently drew widespread public attention following the transfer of three Malaysian elephants, Dara, Amoi and Kelat, from Zoo Taiping & Night Safari to Osaka's Tennoji Zoo in March. The move sparked public concern, protests, and calls for them to be brought home.
📌 Concerns also centred on Tennoji Zoo’s elephant care history, including the case of Hiroko, an Asian elephant that spent years in isolation before dying in 2018, likely due to an untreated chronic foot-related disease.
📌 Meanwhile, PETA Asia has urged officials to relocate Dara, Amoi and Kelat to a reputable sanctuary, rather than another zoo.
