I think that I've figured this out:
You are sitting in your living room after a long week at the office. Your beloved daughters date shows up to pick her up for the prom.
The young man walks in dressed like he's headed out to shoot pool with his buddies; whereas your wife has spent hundreds of dollars and countless hours making sure that your daughter is dressed to the nines.
As you are speaking to the young man about his plans and intentions for the evening, he starts lecturing YOU about how much money you are going to give him, which one of your cars you are going to supply him for transport, and tells you that he'll bring her home when he's good and ready.
You look over and see your precious little girl standing there all dressed up: And she has heard every single word of what's been said. She has a tear in her eye because she now has no clue whether her night is ruined or not. And you know that this one night can never be replicated.
It is prom night...

My Generation Is Blind to the Prosperity Around Us!
I'm sitting in a small coffee shop near Nokomis (Florida) trying to think of what to write about. I scroll through my newsfeed on my phone looking at the latest headlines of presidential candidates calling for policies to "fix" the so-called injustices of capitalism. I put my phone down and continue to look around.
I see people talking freely, working on their MacBook's, ordering food they get in an instant, seeing cars go by outside, and it dawned on me. We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we've become completely blind to it.
Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose. These things are so ingrained in our American way of life we don't give them a second thought.
We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty One Times!!!
Virtually no one in the United States is considered poor by global standards. Yet, in a time where we can order a product off Amazon with one click and have it at our doorstep the next day, we are unappreciative, unsatisfied, and ungrateful. ??
Our unappreciation is evident as the popularity of socialist policies among my generation continues to grow. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation, "An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest electorates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity."
Never saw American prosperity! Let that sink in.
When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I've ever heard in my 26 years on this earth. Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided.
My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity. I know this first hand, I went to college, let's just say I didn't have the popular opinion, but I digress.
Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that I can even see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity? We have people who are dying to get into our country.
People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. Yet, we have a young generation convinced they've never seen prosperity, and as a result, we elect some politicians who are dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism.
Why? The answer is this,?? my generation has only seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn't live in the great depression, or live through two world wars, the Korean War, The Vietnam War or we didn't see the rise and fall of socialism and communism.
We don't know what it's like to live without the internet, without cars, without smartphones. We don't have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it's spreading like a plague." #pleaseshare
Here it is:
The single largest racket operation on the planet—created by the racket—the U.S. Congress on American soil—all funded by the U.S. taxpayer through NGOs—nongovernmental, government-funded organizations—with a combined worth of $14.2 trillion.
The lifestyle of the rich D.C. liberals, funded by you—the taxpayer—without your consent or approval. This is how they live, and the receipts prove it.
USAID, the NEA, and other taxpayer-funded programs issue billions of dollars in grants. John and Jane, or Pete and Pete, each work at nonprofits that receive these grants.
The nonprofit pays them $300,000 or more. In some cases, such as the Kennedy Center, the CEO earns $1.5 million.
A married couple takes in $750,000 together—often much more—all off your back.
Timothy O’Leary, General Director of the Washington National Opera: $381,563.00.
Year after year, the perks don’t stop with salaries. Believe it or not, that’s small potatoes.
Want a free ski vacation in Aspen? There’s always a “conference” being held annually. The nonprofit will, of course, fly them there and provide accommodations. Every meal is “nonprofit-related.” Eat well.
Itching for a trip to Switzerland or Paris? Same deal. The nonprofit will be delighted to host a “conference” on some subject or another.
How they cut their family and friends in on the scam:
Their nepo babies start a “conference-organizing business” and get paid by the nonprofit to put on events.
Maybe they even take an ownership interest in these businesses through offshore accounts.
How will anyone track down the money? It’s stashed in the Cayman Islands or Switzerland, hidden through one of the many “businesses” that provide “services” to the nonprofit-USAID industrial complex.
Speaker fees for their friends?
Of course. That’s how you really get the big bucks flowing, since speaker fees and vendor payments aren’t itemized on Form 990.
Hold a “gala” and pay everyone $100,000 to give a talk. Pay millions to “vendors” run by nepo babies and others in on the corruption.
Even judges—their families—are in on these scams.
That’s why D.C. judges issue lawless rulings—and have declared war on Trump. Their spouses, friends, mistresses, whores, and families are all taking a piece of the action.
Think this is exaggerated? Look at these 👇👇 salaries from “nonprofits” funded by taxpayers through grants and other “aid”—and every single time a budget is passed in Congress.
📝 Rep. Tim Burchett—Where did all of your tax dollars go?
“I guarantee you it goes from the American taxpayer’s back pocket to the back pocket of politicians in Washington, D.C. And if it’s either party, I don’t care—they need to be exposed and they need to be out of office.”
@MilitaryCooI Thanks a lot for making an old man weepy...
I have lost a few furry little companions who were ALWAYS there for me when my human counterparts were not...
Remember when Obama instructed the President of Nasa at the time, Charlie Bolden, to amplify the achievements of Muslim nations in space & no longer talk about America’s achievements? I do. I asked Charlie Bolden about it when I was filming with him for 60 Minutes and he said he was stunned. Then I asked him what Muslim achievements there had been in space that I was not aware of and he replied he did not know of any. He said it was perplexing to receive such an order from the President & made no sense to him or anyone else. Unless you understand that the left & the globalists have been shoving Islam down the throat of the west intentionally for years to conquer & destroy western civilization from within.
The women of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan - who are banned from all forms of public life including speaking in public - thank you Governor for being a cheerleader for this political system. They live in hell - no rights, no education & no hope. Congratulations - you just set them back even further. And from the rest of us - the women of the free world - we want you to know that we see you for the worthless, self-serving political cuck that you are.
James Garfield was killed in 1881 because a man he had never met believed God owed him a job in Paris.
Charles Guiteau was a lifelong failure who never once considered himself one. He spent five years at the Oneida Community, a free love commune, where he was so unpopular the women called him Charles Gitout. He failed at law, failed at bill collecting, failed at theology, stiffed landlords across half a dozen cities, and sued the commune he had left. In 1880 he survived a steamship collision on Long Island Sound and took it as proof that God had spared him for something important.
That summer he wrote a campaign speech called Grant vs. Hancock. When Grant lost the nomination, Guiteau crossed out the name and made it Garfield vs. Hancock without bothering to fix the rest, so it still argued points about Grant. He may have delivered it twice. He had copies printed and handed them out around New York, and when Garfield won, he concluded that he personally had won the election.
The bill for that service, in his mind, was the consulship in Paris.
So he moved to Washington and started collecting. He wrote letters. He walked into White House public receptions and left his speech with a note scribbled on it. He haunted the State Department lobby for months until Secretary of State James Blaine finally lost his temper and told him never to speak of the Paris consulship again as long as he lived.
Guiteau decided God had given him a new assignment. The Republican Party was tearing itself in half between the Stalwarts and Blaine's faction, and Guiteau convinced himself that removing Garfield would heal the party and save the Republic. He wrote that down. He called it a sad necessity.
He borrowed fifteen dollars and bought a .44 British Bulldog revolver. He paid extra for the ivory grips because he thought it would look better in a museum someday. He practiced shooting into the mud along the Potomac. He toured the District jail in advance to make sure the accommodations would be acceptable. He stalked Garfield for weeks, followed him to church, and passed up one clear chance because Mrs. Garfield was on the president's arm and still weak from malaria, and even Guiteau felt bad about that one.
July 2, 1881. Baltimore and Potomac train station. Garfield was leaving for a college reunion. Two shots. One grazed his arm. The other lodged behind his pancreas. Guiteau surrendered immediately and announced that Arthur was president now.
Here is the part almost nobody knows.
That bullet was survivable. The autopsy proved it. The bullet had settled into a protective cyst and was doing nothing at all.
What killed Garfield was his doctors. Joseph Lister had been preaching sterilization for fourteen years and American physicians largely thought he was a crank. So a parade of them, at least a dozen, took turns hunting for the bullet inside the president's back with unwashed fingers and unsterilized probes. The lead physician was a man whose actual legal first name was Doctor. Doctor Willard Bliss. He took control of the case, pushed rivals out, and kept digging.
They turned a three inch wound into a channel more than twenty inches long, running from Garfield's ribs down toward his groin, and filled it with infection. Alexander Graham Bell invented a metal detector on the spot to find the bullet. Bliss made him scan only the right side of the body. The bullet was on the left.
Through a brutal Washington summer, engineers rigged the first air conditioner in the White House, blowing air over half a million pounds of ice, and it was not enough. Garfield could not keep food down. They fed him beef broth and whiskey by enema. He went from 210 pounds to about 130. In September they carried him by train to the New Jersey shore, and neighbors laid a spur line to the cottage door overnight, by hand, so he would not have to be jolted the last stretch.
He died there on September 19, 79 days after being shot, of blood poisoning and a ruptured artery in a body that had been slowly taken apart.
At trial Guiteau was clear about this. He said the doctors killed the president, he had merely shot him. He sang in the courtroom, insulted his own lawyers, dictated testimony in verse, and asked spectators for money. It did not matter. He hanged on June 30, 1882, after reciting a poem he wrote called I Am Going to the Lordy.
He was medically right and legally doomed, which is a rare combination.
Bliss later billed Congress $25,000 for his care. Congress paid him $6,500. Ignorance, as they said at the time, is Bliss.
And the ending nobody would write on purpose: Guiteau shot Garfield to protect the patronage system that had denied him a job. Instead the murder disgusted the country so badly that Congress passed the Pendleton Act in 1883, gutting the spoils system forever. The man who signed it was Chester Arthur, a machine politician who had spent his entire career handing out exactly those jobs.
Guiteau destroyed the only thing he was actually fighting for.
I’ve spent many weeks doing fieldwork in Tibet, sitting above these enormous, deeply incised Himalayan river systems and seeing firsthand just how geologically active this landscape is.
So spare me the climate-change grift every time a natural disaster strikes.
Catastrophic glacial outburst floods are not new. The 1981 Zhangzangbo GLOF released ~20 million m³ of water and debris into Nepal, with estimated peak discharge approaching 16,000 m³/s. The Himalayas experienced enormous GLOFs long before today's atmospheric CO₂ concentrations.
If it happened naturally in the past, we should expect it to happen naturally again in the future—regardless of atmospheric CO₂.
Turning a horrific loss of life into an immediate climate-change narrative without demonstrating that CO₂ caused this particular event isn't attribution. It's opportunism.
And the people exploiting tragedy to do it are grifters.
A black man punched a white Raleigh restaurant manager to de*th and walked with a 3-to-5-year slap on the wrist after nearly three years free on bond.
Three years ago today, David Millette Jr., 27, left Midwood Smokehouse in Raleigh, North Carolina, after a night out with his sister Katey. They were walking home on Glenwood South around 2 a.m. on Aug. 26, 2023. He had just learned he would be a father. His son Sonny was still on the way.
Prosecutors say a group boxed them in. Katey stepped in front of her brother. Tyrell Jarue Moore, then 23, jumped the group and punched David in the face while he was not looking. The blow shattered his nose and sinuses. He hit the sidewalk. He d*ed six days later, on Sept. 1.
Moore, a black man from the area, was charged with first-degree m*rder, then indicted on second-degree m*rder.
Police said he posted about the punch on Facebook and fled when they tried to arrest him. He also picked up a marijuana count. He sat out most of the case on bond.
Last June, Wake County Judge Brian Wilks sentenced him to three years and two months to four years and 10 months after a plea to voluntary mansl*ughter. Credit for 259 days in jail. The fleeing and drug charges were dismissed.
District Attorney Lorrin Freeman said she was not confident a jury would convict on m*rder and feared they might drop it to involuntary manslaughter.
Katey Millette called it a “gross inadequacy.” Their father said, “It’s very disappointing that we ended up where we did, frankly.” Moore did not speak in court.
A white father-to-be is gone. A black suspect who threw the punch that k*lled him is looking at a handful of years and already spent most of the wait at home. That is the sentence North Carolina handed this case.
Ask why a sucker punch that ends a life is treated like a bar fight with extra paperwork.

Seattle, Washington teacher who GLORIFIED the October 7 Hamas massacre is BACK in the classroom.
Ian Golash, the former social studies department chair at Chief Sealth High School, was placed on paid leave in 2024 after publicly saying the Hamas attacks were justified and questioning whether women were r*ped during the massacre.
He had displayed images glorifying terr*rists in his classroom and taken students off campus to protests.
Golash also has a criminal record from Oregon that includes arrests for as$ault and criminal harassment. He was convicted of criminal harassment.
Those older Multnomah County mugshots surfaced in 2023 when his background was first widely reported.
The district moved to fire him. He appealed with the backing of the Seattle Education Association’s radical Rank-and-File Educators caucus.
His name and position have now reappeared on the school’s website, indicating he has been reinstated.
The same teachers’ union that pushes “anti-racist” policies helped put a man with a criminal history who celebrates terrorists back in front of Seattle students.
