@shortword I have a similar situation, but old x has hw3, new Y has Hw4, both cars have eap. I’m thinking maybe no way to avoid subscription if I don’t buy outright before the deadline next week.

@OfficialGuySam @Jon83989650 The inverter is built into the pw3, and sat on top of the pw2. The gateway is a separate box. Big box with the logo is my powerwall/inverter, smaller box connected to it with Tesla written on it is the gateway.

@modernheroestv The number 1 thing they were worried about was range and this shows the maximum displayed range, validating publicly they were right to go ahead and buy the car. Next thing to learn is it’s not as relevant as they thought.

@Arpe_DK Also depends on cell efficiency, if the tabless is indeed improving a bottleneck or the cathode is more robust, you will get more usable energy out of a given kWh. I do agree I am disappointed it’s not just bigger and better, but it could be less different than it seems now.

@WilJay_1 Electric power train is like the best of both worlds, response of a normally aspirated engine in the correctly selected manual gear (with engine braking when you lift off) and no clutch in traffic.
