Approximately 54% to 60% of Mexico’s entire electricity grid relies directly on natural gas imported from the United States. Washington just demonstrated that it can cripple Mexico within 72 hours at will.
The arbitrary 20% reduction in U.S. natural gas exports to Mexico was executed precisely as American production reached an all-time high in July 2026. One could be forgiven for thinking this is a veiled message designed to signal absolute leverage.
While the domestic commentocracy naively invokes "long-term supply contracts," as if assuming the Trump administration doesn't treat contractual legalisms as irrelevant, the structural reality is that half of Mexico's national grid hangs by a Texan pipeline valve.
Prince was asked to do a solo on a cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps and he showed up to the rehearsal and barely played anything. Didn’t have any solo ready at all and didn’t play one. They asked what he was going to play and he just said “Don’t worry about it.”
Then, on the night of the performance he just looms out of the shadows and plays this. The way he pivots off that F# root note into Dorian mode is so good. Massively underrated guitarist.
Someone used Claude Opus 5.5 to make a 3D animation of Nvidia Blackwell GPUs (from server down to an atom).
Took 1 hour and full animation “runs from single HTML file, directly in browser. No vid editor. No pre-rendered 3D sequence. Just browser-based experience.”
Very cool.
“When you stand before God, you cannot say: “but I was told by others to do thus or that virtue was no convenient at that time”. This will not suffice”.
