Joshua had led the men to war and they had won the battle. He then let others share in the victory so they would have courage to lead others. Jesus has won the victory for us and wants us to shares with others

When Jesus comes again He will not be in a stable as a little baby but as the conquering King. He is the Commander of the Lord’s Army and is not on anyone’s side but His own. The only question will be “Whose side will you be on?”

Contemplating the goodness of God and the intimacy of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit today on my morning walk and was overwhelmed by His presence. May you think about all He has done for you and find yourself in the same place!

Why call it “Good Friday” if it is associated with death? Because what happened was not a tragedy but a triumph! God didn’t look the other way at our sin but placed them on His Son. All of them are gone and it was finished! That’s why it’s good!

Many argue that this doesn’t apply to the Israel of today because of her history of apostasy. But Peter uses the same language about the church and how does her history stack up? Why do we hold others to a higher standard than ourselves? Just a thought for the woke right…

Our natural inclination is always to do what we want to do. God has only one prescribed way to worship Him and any other way is an abomination. Once we understand that we can see through the pollution in the church and understand the why behind it.

To be a Pastor that does not teach God’s people what the Bible says about the issues of the day is in essence taking away from the word of God. We need to know what side we should stand on when it come a to these things and the full council of God shows us.

Be careful of rash promises to the Lord. 2 1/2 tribes of Israel decided to make decisions for themselves then that of the Lord. One that would have drastic consequences for generations to come. Make sure the promised land you are entering is the Lord’s decision and not your’s.

It doesn’t matter what the woke right says or those that insist the Bible is allegorical, God is a literalist. Isreal is Israel no matter how you shake it and His word will come to pass, whether you are a Balaam, Tucker, or Candace.

Caleb gives them the key to doing the impossible. The other spies where right, the land was full of giants. What would delight God more than stepping out in faith to do the impossible? What has you bound in fear today could turn out to be your greatest victory tomorrow!

We have a local Christian College platform a guy who denies Substitutionary Atonement. What do you think God did about our sin look the other way? No! He chose to become a man, live a sinless life and step into our place. Hallelujah!

The word for atonement is “covering” meaning that it could only work until you sinned again. That is why we needed a new covenant by a more perfect sacrifice…Jesus. What an animal could only do temporarily, Christ did once and for all!

Everyone wants to know what kind of person God can use. People think it’s the educated or the influential or it’s the one with lots of resources and skills. Those things are good but God is looking for a willing heart that’s available. Are you?

God desires fellowship with His people. Even though we rebelled against Him, He provided a way. Jesus is the Lamb, His body the bread, and His blood is the wine. Through these we have daily communion with God and His word speaks to us.
