@mtkennedy The new jEdit 5.2pre1 has a customized DMG that also hints on how to work-around Gatekeeper being too picky, hope that helps. ^v

@lbtc_xxx use "jedit -wait", then close the file, or if jEdit was not running previously, you have to quit jEdit completely again. ^v

@mtkennedy As soon as you once started app, the dl status if forgotten and you can reraise sec if you lowered. That's why backup works. ^v

@mtkennedy Mac remembers you dl app from net. Until first start it blocks with that message. If you ctrl-click->open or lower sec, works ^v

@mtkennedy I am not sure, maybe OSX recognize a previously installed package.At least without changing the settings I reproduce the same bug

@mtkennedy try in OSX in Settings/Security to allow to install packages from anywhere and not only MacAppStore and registered developers

@mtkennedy hello, I just tried, and had the same problem. But in fact I think it comes from the security settings of Mac OS X

@mtkennedy Yes, I understood that. But it should be the same package. That's why I asked whether u may provide both packages for diffing. ^v
