Joe Manganiello reveals the plot of Ben Affleck's scrapped Batman movie from his memoir 'Bloodlines':
Affleck's film was pitched as "a superhero version of David Fincher's The Game" where Deathstroke tries to "dismantle Batman's entire life"—
Including killing Gordon, taking Alfred hostage, and nearly killing Batman & Batgirl.
@Caol_MacCormaic The shots are planned, the performances set into motion, not to mention this is soderbergh we're talking about who has like a fetish for this type of experiment tinkering with another artists work and sensibilities
Steven Soderbergh is set to direct the remainder of ‘THE BATMAN: PART 2’.
Him and Reeves will work together and remain in communication until filming has ended, with Reeves taking over post-production duties when ready.

@NickBernsie I don't really think any of his stuff looks good except this, which captures a certain genre aesthetic that holds hints of ball knowledge. We'll see, maybe
"The Departed" is a pretty silly movie. Jack Nicholson gets worried about a cop in his crew. His crew is like 5 guys where 4 of them don't really speak English and one of them is brand new and just dropped out of the state police academy
Abby's section opens with "look at all these people you're going to kill later, look at all these childrens you're going to orphan, look at all these dogs you're going to blow up, isnt that horrible?" and then 5 minutes later it's like "this is israel. this is literally the IDF."
@AprilTurtle_ What you consider to be "good" is subjective so everybody is talking about a different thing. I tend to argue most attempts at distinguishing them aren't productive (or are just actively harmful) so they mean the same thing to me
@TheDougFiles could go one of two ways; it's holding off showing us more because it actually does do more, or it feels like it's holding off showing more because everything in the trailer is all they got and the entire movie is just that one thing. unfortunately seems like the ladder
