Hey, this is my research!!! So excited to see this picked up by others, this study is close to my heart and I can't wait to expand on it in my dissertation work.
In October, I got about 6 automated rejection emails from SSHRC (1-2 per week) due to a glitch. In November, I was told that the decision had changed - my application got passed through.
Today I received a SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship! I'm excited, proud, and truthfully relieved!
@at_traitor@CourtneyOnstad Heard someone got in doing this: Got in using this link to reset the password, then login and then copy and paste the link from the email, worked for me! https://t.co/o7s9JrLKpH
It's here!! My first publication, investigating what laypeople perceive as the challenges to sexual consent communication as well as how they believe it could be rewarding:

I feel relieved.
I also feel a profound sense of sadness because George Floyd should be alive today.
Now that thereโs been accountability, we can take a step closer to justice - which is the absence of us being murdered by the police in the first place.
That's a wrap on my first year as a clinical TA! I've had the privilege of co-teaching the diagnostic interviewing course to our first-years and assisting with clinic intakes. Humbling and encouraging to watch these students grow into confident, skilled early clinicians :)
What effect has COVID-19 had on sexual desire? In our recent preprint, we show that COVID-19 has been detrimental to people's desire, in part because of the stressors it has brought on and challenges that such stressors have had on peopleโs well-being.

I wish I had been taking screenshots, but this term we have been doing pet show and tell at the start of our clinical area research presentations, and it is truly one of the most fun parts of my week.
Today we met an aquatic snail!
