484 MINI AMBULANCES FOR KANO’S 484 WARDS 🚑
In a landmark move to improve emergency healthcare access, His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, has procured 484 mini ambulances — one for each of the 484 wards across Kano State.
The initiative prioritizes rural communities and hard-to-reach villages.
Each ambulance will be staffed with 2 trained drivers and 2 health workers to ensure prompt emergency response and safe transportation for:
- Sick patients
- Pregnant women
- Other urgent medical cases
This is part of Gov. Abba K. Yusuf’s broader health sector reforms to bring healthcare closer to the people and strengthen emergency services.
From urban centers to remote villages, healthcare is now within reach.

It has been observed with dismay that some unpatriotic individuals in Kano State have continued to use government-constructed roads for construction activities, including mixing cement, dumping sand, and keeping other construction materials on the roads.
This practice damages public infrastructure, obstructs traffic, compromises environmental cleanliness, and undermines the efforts of the Kano State Government to maintain and improve our roads and urban environment.
Henceforth, anybody found engaging in such activities on public roads will be dealt with in accordance with the applicable laws of Kano State.
The public is therefore warned that mixing cement, dumping sand, storing construction materials, or carrying out any form of construction activity on public roads is strictly prohibited.
We urge residents, contractors, artisans, and property owners to comply with this directive and support the government in protecting public infrastructure and maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly Kano State.
