@ellle_em Maybe it is my lack of details, but to me it sounds like the abuse caused generational trauma, not the adoption. Or did your grandparents have other natural children they did not abuse? Otherwise it is hard to tell if they were "just regular" terrible parents.
@ellle_em But making every adoption an open adoption may dissuade women from putting up their kids and prospective parents from choosing the adoption route. Maybe a compromise could be that birth parents who seek anonymity are protected until the child turns 18?
@ellle_em Not sure who the asshole is. Showing up at the same restaurant is very petty. Even if you are married, both partners still are allowed to have their separate lives. The question is why she wasn't invited and that is probably the core of the issue.
@ellle_em If he wants to spend time with his family, maybe even to discuss their marriage and get a perspective, I don't think that is out of bounds, even if his brother invited their SO.
@claresiobhan@Deligracy Okay, sweet gesture, but "Let me take a pic of somebody's merch, but in a mirror so the words are flipped. And my hair covers most of the print." 🤭
@lilsimsie Hope you are feeling better now! I noticed it in one video, but I didn't think mentioning it then would serve any purpose but making you feel more subconscious about it :( shit happens, hope you don't get it again 🤞
@_enigmafairy @TheSimCommunity E.g. in German: prounouns she/her = sie/ihr, her house = ihr Haus, her cat = ihre Katze.
He/him = er/sein, his house = sein Haus, his cat = seine Katze.
And that is just one language. So I am not surprised it took a bit of fiddling.
@_enigmafairy @TheSimCommunity I think the complexity comes with alle the different languages. Every text with a prounoun now needs to have a placeholder. While this may be straight forward in English, there are languages with conjugations where you also need multiple options for the verbs and pronouns.
@night_crisis @SimGuruStar @TheSims Most people have imperfections in their skin, be it birthmarks, miles or scars. Skin brushes would make all that possible, not just vitiligo. And that's universally pretty cool, I think :)
