I was watching this movie with my hubby and couldn't watch it beyond 45 mins. It was too much "being bechari" in today's date. Things such as cooking and cleaning the sink were shown as such mammoth tasks. Are you serious? The in-laws were being plenty polite (unlike most we experience) and she could put across her point (sil batta is very impractical) with some assertion. Things take time to change and you need to step up and make the change happen or just set into the mould. But come on, cooking and keeping the house functional is not such a big deal and definitely not patriarchal.
