Satya sāramani, Satya padinaji are not just Gods to dalit community but the heroes to the entire tulunad who lived in 14-15th century. Kānada Katada (also known as satya sāramani) are twin heros of our Tulunad's dalit community who fought for social injustice, discrimination. They are not only remembered as Daivas but also their contribution to tulunad's agriculture by bringing 'athikari' bidé is something revolutionary. If a lady belonging to a marginalised community takes pride in her ancestors, and take oath in their name, what issue does these people have? I wish representatives belonging to other parts of Karnataka get educated in customs, Gods, tribes of Karnataka. If taking oath in the name of Satya Saramani is opposed then no one should take oath in any Gods name. Because for us tuluvas, our Satya saramani, Koti chennaya, Abbaga daraga, Babbu, Koragajja are Gods. Period.
