Just got my first hands-on glimpse of the new Galaxy S26 Ultra at the Samsung Experience Store in Yorkdale Mall 🇨🇦!
Here is my initial experience with the S26U 🧵👇
Seeing all these 7-8 hour SOT reviews for the #GalaxyS26Ultra
Enjoy the honeymoon phase! S25 Ultra was doing the exact same thing at launch. Now? I'm struggling to even cross the 5-hour SOT in my S25U
Really hoping Samsung doesn't nuke the S26U battery with future updates. 🤞
No matter how much innovation brands like Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi bring to smartphone cameras, the reality of consumer psychology rarely changes.
When people have enough money for a premium phone, their first instinct is still an iPhone.
If they don’t choose Apple, the second preference is usually Samsung.
Chinese flagships may push boundaries with hardware and features, but brand trust, status and ecosystem still dominate buying decisions.
Innovation can attract attention, but brand perception wins.
❌ Downgrading the 3x sensor.
❌ Swapping Titanium back to Aluminum.
❌ S-Pen still lacks Bluetooth.
❌ Doesn't feel like a major upgrade if you already own an S25 Ultra.

What I didn't like:
❌ The grainy, pixelated visual effect when the Privacy Display is turned on.
❌ Rear panel design (that circular plateau for the camera's 🥲).
❌ 60W fast charging is nice, but Samsung could have at least bumped the battery to 5200-5300 mAh!
🚨 HUGE CHANGE: Samsung is nerfing Recovery Mode.
The stable One UI 8 (February Patch) has officially REMOVED "Wipe Cache Partition" and "Apply update from ADB" on the #S25Ultra. 📉
These tools have been essentials for power users for a decade. Is Samsung trying to lock us out?

✍️ S-Pen still there, but still lacks Bluetooth.
📉 Disappointed they downgraded the 3x sensor (it was already lacking on the S25U).
🏗️ Dropping Titanium for Aluminum feels like a step backward.
Overall? I like it, but as an S25 Ultra user, it doesn’t feel like a major upgrade

🔈 Speakers sound fantastic, as expected from Samsung.
Apple rage-baited Samsung into using Titanium last year, and now the S26U is right back to an Armor Aluminum frame. 😅
Honestly though? The in-hand feel is noticeably lighter and thinner to hold!🤳 than my S25 Ultra.
