STOP targeting the MOST desperate people

I know it sounds backwards but let me explain

We had an affiliate scaling hard, $10K days, everything looked incredible and then the offer owner paused us.

Our traffic was too aggressive, refunds were way too high and the AOV was really bad so they were losing money on our conversions

The messaging was promising instant results with zero effort, overnight income, no work required etc

So every broke desperate person on earth clicked on that, they were expecting insane results so when they didn’t get the results in 24 hours they just chargebacked

The buyer you actually want is someone desperate enough to take action, gullible enough to believe it works, NOT so broke they chargeback when it doesn’t work instantly, and willing to put in some effort.

We changed the ads to spread out on the timeline and mention some effort required.

Lesson is that sometimes the best filter is making ur offer sound slightly harder than it is
