This Ty Cobb card, worth over $50,000, came from a 5-cent pack of cigarettes 😮
The T206 portrait of Ty Cobb, set against a brilliant red background, is considered by many collectors to be his most classic card. It is one of the most recognizable and popular of all vintage baseball cards.
This copy came from a 5-cent pack of Sweet Caporal Cigarettes from 1909-1911, and it is one of the highest-graded copies, boasting a PSA 7.
Just 21 copies have ever been graded higher for this version.

This Rayquaza card has a bid over $500,000 🤯
This is the first time in over 2 years that a PSA 10 copy of a Gold Star Rayquaza has come up for auction.
Gold Star cards first appeared in EX Team Rocket Returns as a special chase card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Found approximately once every two booster boxes, Gold Star cards showcase the artwork of the shiny variants of Pokémon—a special circumstance introduced in the Pokémon Gold & Silver games. Shiny Pokémon feature distinct color variations and dazzling entrance animations that cascade stars all over the screen. Gamers only had a 1:4,096 chance of encountering a Shiny Pokémon, and the Gold Star cards perfectly re-create the feelings of exclusivity and euphoria that washed over collectors who obtained one of the rare characters. Those same feelings have made the Gold Star cards some of the most desirable Pokémon cards ever created.
Rayquaza descended from the heavens to stop the devastation caused by the conflict between Groudon and Kyogre, and legend stated that Rayquaza’s ferocity could force the Primal beings into a slumber for a thousand years to bring peace to the Hoenn region. The EX Deoxys Rayquaza Gold Star by Masakazu Fukuda captures this ferocity, and Pokémon collectors widely consider it one of the most breathtaking and awe-inspiring Pokémon cards. Considered one of Fukuda’s best works, the illustration shows Rayquaza seemingly reaching out to grab its owner by extending a clawed hand outside of the card’s picture frame. The holographic pattern serves as the perfect accent with Rayquaza’s shiny color scheme. Altogether, the metallic grays and blues pop in the light when a collector holds the card. Unfortunately, EX Deoxys booster boxes rank among the most highly sought-after and pricey Pokémon boxes in the industry, with many loose packs having been searched for holographic cards, so acquiring this Gold Star card from a booster pack remains challenging.

One of the best Walter Payton cards in the world just surfaced in our auction 👀
A signed 1976 Topps Rookie card of him. Only 45 copies like this exist in PSA's pop report, as Payton sadly passed away in 1999 at age 46.
What makes this copy extra special is that it is one of the few to achieve a 10 grade for the auto.
This card ends Thursday night in Alt Auctions.

Not only is this Tom Brad rookie extremely valuable in this grade, but this copy here on Alt is extra special.
It is a double jersey number match as it is serial number 1,212 of 2000.
The 2000 Fleer Showcase Tom Brady rookie card is notable for a few reasons beyond the obvious fact that all TB12 first-year cards carry significance.
Fleer Showcase, an evolution of the Flair Showcase popular in the late '90s, features a premium design and is one of only a handful of 2000 Brady cards that depict him in a full NFL uniform. Rather than being blank, the unique background provides a close-up of the quarterback's intense stare.
Numbered /2000, collectors can have confidence in knowing exactly how many copies of the card were produced. Just over half of Brady's base rookie cards carry serial numbers, adding another layer of notoriety to this issue.
Only 1 copy is graded higher than PSA, so does this double jersey number match the greatest one in existence?

This is crazy!
Jacob Misiorowski's card market is up 307% over the last year.
His 1st Bowman Chrome Auto in a PSA 10 a year ago was $700 and now that same card is $3,000.
After selling for $516k in February, the 2024 Wemby Kaboom! is back on the auction block, this time at Alt, with bidding currently at $577,611 and over two weeks remaining.
The eye appeal sticker was added following the last sale.
