@n8scholten@jeff_bilbro The Silver Chair is underrated - more or less Plato's allegory of the cave for kids! How can you not love the line, "Their quest had been worth all the pains it had cost." (ch XV, p. 199)
@jeff_bilbro@CTmagazine@bonniekristian Nice work Jeff - loved "the ministry of Jesus was reliably marked by an inefficiency and partiality" along with how you unpacked that idea.
@jeff_bilbro Can I get exclusive club rights since I've pre-ordered a copy AND have requested my institution's library to order a copy? Might I suggest, "Exclusive backpacking trip with the author," or, "Exclusive row boat excursion with the author" ?
Keen insight on Christian higher ed from @jeff_bilbro. I encourage professionals within the @cccuorg to read and consider how Bilbro's position might enliven their own philosophy regarding the mission and purpose of the sector.https://t.co/zSokYT4kwF
Make plans to join us at @GroveCtyCollege (with @AndrewPeterson!) next year for a conference on Wendell Berry. More info in the weeks to come, but this will whet your appetite: https://t.co/XfeOOkKDCk
Alex Sosler on suffering and grace:
"Looking back on those days after college, seeing people succeed where I felt like I was a failure, much of my distress was caused by my sense that my life wasn’t measuring up to my plans for it."

"What if hope is, instead, a self-involving way of being that is inspired and animated by an affirmation of the goodness of this life, or a practiced way of life rooted in the conviction that this life is worth cherishing, defending, and celebrating?"
Yet, David's frequent reminder of "You are the Beloved of God, precious in His sight, created to share in His love with others," is a helpful reminder that all life is rooted within the life and love of God. So with that, we continue on in faith, hope, and love.
Words do not suffice the depth of these experiences as it relates to grief and loss, love and gratitude, or trying to articulate the extent of one's impact within your life.
