@MarkRober To throw a rock as far as possible, it would make the most sense to throw the rock in space. Newton’s first law tells us that an object in motion will stay in motion, until an external force is applied.

@MarkRober We also want the rock to be as small as possible so that it, itself doesn’t have much gravity. This will allow for us to throw the rock in space and ideally have it travel an infinite distance.
