@bobby_on_mars@RoryTaney He’s illustriously world famous for being a corrupt, lying conman. Call it a hunch but can’t shake the feeling that a legal 70 never happened.
@humads@coalcountrywvu Top 5 university in the 6th largest market in a rich recruiting state. In what way are they a net negative compared to the bottom 50% of current league schools?
@GJL2012@JoshPateCFB Love how there’s only four numbers needed because there’s apparently less than 10K cars in a category yet Wyoming has the same voting power as California in the senate.
@pboiler942@galacticjanitor@Broloccini@Brandonsworld21@dancingofpens Maybe let them and other massive companies play by the same rules everyone else does. Eliminate lobbyists, super-PACs, and other unlimited influence from billion/trillion dollar corporations who currently write their own rules. Add in term limits in DC and it’s a good start.
@pboiler942@galacticjanitor@dancingofpens It was $22 B in profit. I posted revenue. My mistake. My point that around 30% of their low wage employees are on government assistance stands. Their profits are subsidized by American taxpayers.
@galacticjanitor@Broloccini@Brandonsworld21@pboiler942@dancingofpens It’s called corporate socialism/welfare and absolutely has everything to do with Walmart and others like them. Average annual cost per family in America is $6000. We subsidize Walmart hundreds of billions a year so they can continue to not pay its employees a livable wage.
@ChaseThomason 100 degree days have more than doubled in the 2020’s compared to the last decade. One thing people don’t or won’t understand is it’s a positive feedback loop. It gets exponentially worse as time goes on. Many continue to fight facts because they’ve been duped. It’s nuts.
@MedBennett@RockyAnderson@ChaseThomason Of course there is. It’s undeniable. You have to actively pretend otherwise. And honestly what for, who benefits by denying the facts? I don’t understand.
@galacticjanitor@pboiler942@dancingofpens I’m not talking about grocery stores. Although Walmart did make $265 B in profit last year while 30% of its full time workers had to rely on public assistance like SNAP and Medicaid.
@wowpablo@Pac12Central There’s only going to be two conferences in the SuperLeague. A G1 with the best of the rest might form but eventually those left out likely go back to regional leagues. The wealth gulf grows wider by the day in everything. Fans lose.
