The kindest words from @lukecombs : « What an unreal Grammy week to say the least. There were so many laughs, tears, hugs, and cheers that it almost doesn’t seem real (…) When it comes to the performance it’s still hard to process how amazing it really was to be up there on that stage. No doubt a defining moment of my career.
Tracy, I want to send my sincerest thanks to you for allowing me to be a part of your moment. Thank you for the impact you have had on my musical journey, and the musical journeys of countless other singers, songwriters, musicians, and fans alike. I hope you felt how much you mean to the world that night. We were all in awe of you up there and I was just the guy lucky enough to have the best seat in the house. »
🥹 Thank YOU for everything!
Today we played for Wake.
He was a great man/husband/father/teammate/friend. He loved his family and the Red Sox. He was proud to represent our organization on and off the field.
We did our best to honor him.
He will be missed.
💔
Our hearts are broken with the loss of Tim Wakefield.
Wake embodied true goodness; a devoted husband, father, and teammate, beloved broadcaster, and the ultimate community leader. He gave so much to the game and all of Red Sox Nation.
Our deepest love and thoughts are with Stacy, Trevor, Brianna, and the Wakefield family.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Tim Wakefield, 19-year Major Leaguer, two-time World Series champion, 2009 AL All-Star, and the 2010 Roberto Clemente Award winner.
Tim embodied the finest qualities as a teammate, a competitor, and a caring man.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wakefield family and all who knew and loved Tim.
Rafael Devers is the 35th player to record 500 RBI for the Red Sox.
At 26 years and 218 days old, Devers is the 4th-youngest player to reach that mark with the Red Sox, behind only Hall of Famers Ted Williams, Bobby Doerr, and Jim Rice.
