@Baconbrix @kylemacomber ... or maybe it's not native until you make it into a compiler work around https://t.co/RlMkOiCGOK

[Jeff Hodsdon @jeffhodsdon]

@Baconbrix @kylemacomber i often have to remind myself that a lot of swiftui is on top of uikit just as RN is. that RN and swiftui are siblings in a way (at least in intent)

shopify yesterday, now notion! quality and performance matters.

[Ji Pei @iampgzp]

We’re rebuilding Notion natively on mobile. It’s early, but here is how it feels now!

What frustrates you Notion on your phone today? I want to hear and improve!

[Jeff Hodsdon @jeffhodsdon]

@gregisenberg amen on 5. It is my intention with https://t.co/TRWHsZ3iDL runtime data, not just code is required to build anything of quality

[Jeff Hodsdon @jeffhodsdon]

finished @JohnStaats_WIR ‘s The World of Warcraft Diary. So so so good. I can’t recommend it enough to see what it is like to spend years on a transformative game. what they were able to build given the bandwidth and video card capabilities at the time is something to hold up.

maybe the llm is the new react native. shopify is moving back to swift from react native. reason: agents make building for two platforms cheap. every layer that exists to save human keystrokes is now up for review. native wins when the cost of native goes to zero. https://t.co/wVU4Hbv7aS

@amadeus zomg

[Jeff Hodsdon @jeffhodsdon]

excited to start sharing what I have been working on. a runtime context harness for apple platforms. product quality comes from testing during runtime, and agents don't have great access to this. Basset gives them great access.
