@jeremyphoward Australian banks are regulated to succeed in a captive market. US companies have a large domestic market where they can develop.
Australian startups must engage in the world market. The only analogue in Australia is mining technology where we have a large domestic market.

Australia's largest company is in mining, and 4 of the next 5 are banks.

Australia really needs to join the modern world...

This advice is also relevant to Australia which needs backing for a tech sector. Not a mining sector, ag, manufacturing, tourism but a tech sector.

There are some real blind spots in R&D for renewables. @UFRobots has been working on more efficient robotic solar farm construction which government should at least be thinking about. Business is struggling to deliver this on its own and the benefits would flow to everyone.

The McKinsey report says that ignoring automation is not a viable option. We see companies successfully transitioning to automation by experimenting. Taking small bets and trying a new technology as an R&D task. Doing this will build skills and knowledge within the company.

⁦@UFRobots⁩ is sending a robot for another mine site trial next week. It will work with Imdex collecting valuable mining data improving the efficiency and sustainability of the mining operation. We will be testing different aspects of the autonomy and AI perception.

Plenty of opportunity for solar with batteries to do more in providing energy and the costs appear to be coming competitive. With all the information on the net it would be great to see a proper analysis of solar battery costs compared to other options.

The graphs show quite dramatically things going on in the world that we are not aware of. Africa is behind but it is changing with very high rates of growth and wealth creation. This is probably occurring by education and the availability of information via the net.

Robots Required: Slowing population growth and an ageing population are causing shortages of workers for manufacturing, food production, construction and mining. Increasing numbers of robots are being deployed in factories. Robots working for you outdoors are urgently required.
